A/N - I just want to say that I know my chapters are hardly a minutes worth of reading but I don't usually have much time to update. Thanks for sticking with my little 'book'!
I went numb. I felt as if I had no tears left. I was all cried out. My sister. Annabelle. She was missing, probably dead. Not many came out of Azkegon alive. Very rarely did they let anyone out, unless they were brainwashed and a perfect manner of society of course. ^Input sarcasm^
But Annabelle, she was strong. I had lived with the hope that one day she would come back. Home. Safely. Now that dream seemed to shatter into a million pieces along with my heart. Toby was gone, Emily was being possibly tortured because of me and my parents didn't even know if I was alive.
"Miss Rosetta, do you know where your sister is ?" Pigeon Chest boomed.
"No" I whispered. It seemed to be the answer he wanted and he smirked. " Well then, if you so clearly don't know about your sister, what do you know about her and the last few years?"
"I don't. She only requested one visit and my parents didn't let me go, thinking I could see her later. But of course, the last time I saw my sister was when your goons dragged her out of my home" I answered quietly. It was the truth. I had begged and begged to be able to see her. But you were only allowed to see 'patients' if they wanted to. Apparently, Annabelle had not.
"That's a pity isn't it, because if you had known where she might be, I would've let your friend go." I looked at Emily. It looked like she couldn't hear what was going on. Good. At least she wouldn't hear me not being able to help her. As I watched her, her interrogator asked her a question. She shook her head and grinned. He snarled then gave her a harsh backhand across the face. He must of had a ring or something on because when she looked up again, there was a thin cut running across her cheek.
"Captain, we have to go! Boss is requesting our presence in the battle room." Called out one of the soldiers at the door. Pigeon Chest nodded, then turned to me," If you remember anything about you sister, please do it soon." He hissed. I watched them leave, then turned to Emily. Her interrogators left as well. She turned to me her eyes bright. This was the Emily I remembered. I smiled sadly at her. I mouthed to her 'I'm sorry'. She shook her head, then fumbled behind her. Suddenly her ropes fell away from her. I looked in shock as she waved her pocket knife at the window. She grinned then ran out of her room. My door burst open and Emily ran to my side, cutting my ropes.
"I thought they were going to hurt you." I whispered. She shook her head, "Don't worry about me, let's get out of her now, okay ?" We walked out of the room and stared at the corridors. The walls were painted in an ugly beige colour with no other decorations to take away from the disgusting colour. Emily groaned, then we silently started walking down the hallway.
