-Louis' POV-

All I can see is black. Christ my head hurts.

"Oh my god." I hear an unfamiliar voice say rather loudly. Someone else enters the room followed by several other footsteps.

"What, what is it Harry?" a very familiar voice says.

"He's... he moved... he's awake." the stranger stutters in disbelief.

Of course I'm awake. What the hell is happening? I slowly open my eyes and immediately see my mum.

"Mum...Where am I?" I almost whisper, my voice coming out a lot weaker than I thought it would. Also deeper. My throat is so dry that I almost choke, and this tube under my nose is no longer helping me. I reach out to touch her, but I instantly feel pain everywhere. She touches my hand carefully before saying, "Lou, darling don't hurt yourself. I need to go tell the doctor you're awake," and leaving the room.

I look around and notice the crisp, bright lights- I must be in a hospital. Hell, I'm in a hospital bed... hooked up to a machine with a needle in my arm and all. I start to panic, but I suddenly remember I'm not alone.

There are three other guys quietly standing against the far wall, intently watching me, yet looking unsure of what to do or say. Another is approaching me, and I am immediately captivated by his red-rimmed, green eyes. They sparkle in a way that feels like it's meant for me, feels like home. Oh god, he's the most beautiful man I've ever seen despite the fact that he looks as if he has been crying for hours and like he hasn't changed his clothes for a couple days. Was he crying over me? He looks perfect with the way his curly brown hair is pushed back in a headband, and his white t-shirt hanging on him to expose tattoos covering his toned chest. Why am I so attracted to him... I'm supposed to like girls? He looks about twenty, but a little younger than the others. Why is he here?

He's getting close to me now, I hope he can't read on the monitor how fast my heart is beating.

"I'm so happy you're back with us, love. We've been going crazy without you and I was scared you were never going to wake up." He looks as if he's going to cry again.

"Wh-what happened?" I have so many questions flooding my mind right now, and my head hurts to begin with. My hand reaches up to touch it, and there is a bandage wrapped around it there.

He takes a deep breath before explaining, "You were driving home alone, and you were hit by a drunk driver. You broke your leg and have some head injuries. I'm so sorry babe, I should've gone with you. I came to the hospital as soon as I heard about the accident."

"I can drive? I'm not even old enough..." I begin.

He looks just as confused as me, "What? Louis of course you can, of course you are."

"Who...Who are you?" I finally ask.

"Louis stop playing, it's me Harry!" He's crying now, but his voice remains raised in a shocked yet hurt voice. "Don't you remember me?"

"I'm sorry... I-"

We are interrupted by a doctor entering the room, and all our attention is shifted to him.

"I'm sorry boys, I'm going to need to talk to Louis and check some things, then he is going to need some more time to rest. Please wait in the other room until we are done."

"Oh...Okay." The curly brunette croaks out before slowly turning towards the door.

The other boys leave with him, and another with black hair puts his arm around his shoulder.

We connect eyes one more time before the door closes behind him, and the doctor begins his assessment.

"Okay son, what is your name?" says the doctor.

Easy. "Louis Tomlinson," I reply.

"What year is it?"

"2006"

"How old are you?"

"Just turned 14 a couple months ago."
