Alexandra and Alexander the terrible twins. That’s what they call us. Every pack we go to tries to kill us, all for the reputation left by our mother and one other incident which can’t be thought about. Because of our reputation, Alex and I have spent many nights exhausted, hungry, injured and alone.
Andy another pack just picked up our sent, their alpha is with them. When an alpha came the pack meant business, I pushed my legs to go faster, hoping to outrun them though we both knew it was pointless. We were too weak and tired from running 3 days straight.
Andy we’re not going to out run them this time. We should stop ya know? I digged my paws into the ground and stopped with my brother. I stared at him, he was a strong shifter my brother. His fur was as black as the night, but he was kinder than anyone I had ever met. Alex and I were polar opposites. I had white fur and was the most aggressive and protective person my brother would ever meet. Alex and I were inseparable, we were ying and yang, we needed each other as much as our wolves needed their soul mates. I trotted over to him, nuzzled his neck and together we waited. Back to back. We were ready when they came. Dodging trees and powering through snow. There were six in total, all snarling, all male and all dominant. Looking at the pack that now surrounded us we could tell that they were well trained. I automatically knew that they would make the first move then I would go and attack. We both knew our strategy, we waited. None of the wolves let up they circled us slowly. Then a wolf sprang towards me.
Andy! I pushed the wolf away with my paws and snapped at his neck. He grabbed the back of my neck and threw me into the air. I smacked into a tree and yelped as I heard the sickening crunch of most of my ribs breaking.
