I snatched the door open glaring at whoever knocked. "WHAT DO YOU WANT?"I yelled. The royal messenger backed away and cautiously handed me a letter before running away in fear. I smirked and closed the door. "Girls get down here NOW."  My stepfamily came running down. "There's a ball tonight. You may go but I want that red as blood dress. The one that belonged to my mother." I said showing them the letter. "But I want you to keep the royalty away. I am nothing to them the same as you." I watched them nod before running to get my mother's dress. They're terrified of me. And I feel lost and scared to myself too. But I feel powerful and the same time. Oh well I'll worry about it later.

At the ball

I walked down the stairs ignoring the stares from the other guest. I ignored the two princes staring at me. I did though look radiant. My red hair matched my dress. A red fan in my hand gloves went to my elbows. My lips strawberry red and my shoes pure glass. A prince from a neighboring kingdom walked over. I didn't care though. "May I have this dance?" He asked holding his hand out. I froze for a second but grabbed a glass of wine from a tray a servant was carrying. "I guess so but only ONE." I said after I took a sip of wine. He smiled and pulled me on the dance floor before the slow waltz begun. I didn't smile at all. "Why such a angered look on a beautiful face?" He asked pulling me from my thoughts. I frowned,"Because a lot has happened to me." I walked away angered more not caring that I walked out of my shoes. A guard grabbed my arm. I grabbed my slipper and hit him with it. It shattered cutting him.I smirked and walked away.
