Chapter 1: Gathering
Percy’s POV:
Soon. Almost… SCORE! Pegged ‘um! The Stolls kept running even though they were now soaking wet. HA-HA! You don’t get away with pranking this son of Poseidon. Mua-ha- I was cut off in the middle of my glorious mental evil laughter by Annabeth running up to me.
“Hey Seaweed Brain! Chi- what are you doing now? “ Annabeth saw me mid laugh sorta standing there frozen. It probably looked very comical thinking back on it. “Nevermind. Chiron wanted us to meet him at the big house in about an hour. I need to go find Rachel and IM Thalia. Do you think you could start making IMs to the people on this?” She pulled out a slip of paper.
I nodded. “So do you have any clue what is going on? This looks like a large list for just a simple conversation.” She looked at me like “How can you be so stupid,” which I suppose compared to her I seem that way a lot. Then she didn't even bother to answer, she just walked off and left me hanging. Well, I better go see if I can find about ten Drachma to start sacrificing a lot to Iris.
Annabeth’s POV:
Sometimes, Percy really can be quite dense. Honestly, did he not see that this was likely to be about a possible quest?! Ugh. Oh well. I still love him, even if it did take him four, five, years to figure it out. I walked to the Oracle Cave and knocked.
“Yo! Who is it?” Rachel said. A bit of back history on us, she’s a mortal who can see through the mist, and who was hitting on Percy before she accepted the spirit of Delphi into her body to become the virgin Oracle. Thank the Gods. I used to hate her, but now that she doesn’t present a danger to my love life we are great friends.
“Annabeth,” I called out before walking on in.
“Oh! Awesome. What's up?” Rachel looked up with a smile from her current painting of something that is being displayed on the TV. I looked closer and I was pretty sure it was a mortal recording of the Titans back from the Second Titan War, when the mortals just thought it was a freak storm. Thinking back to it, it was certainly “freak” if only on larger proportions than they realized. It appeared to be the basis for her painting, which showed what they really are.
“Chiron wanted me to bring you to the Big House.” I walked out shortly followed by Rachel. However, she happened to have seemingly forgotten that she was holding a paint brush, canvas, bag of pens, notepad, pencil and hairbrush, while subconsciously trying to make sure they wouldn’t fall down or get anywhere. I stopped and looked at Rachel before I started to laugh lightly.
“You may want to leave a few things.” I gave her a pointed look at the contents in her arms. She laughed, embarrassed and went back inside for a few moments before coming out with only a notepad and pencil.
Finally able to get a move on, (I didn’t want to make Chiron wait too long) we got to the Big House. Once there I ducked into the bathroom (thank gods for plumbing) and used the sink to contact Thalia.
“Oh Iris, Goddess of Messages, please accept this offering. Show me Thalia Grace!” She shimmered into view- only, she didn’t have her Hunter insignia, (no silver jacket, no circlet), and she looked like she had just lost a battle with a train.

Percy’s POV:
After I finally got a hold of the coins needed, I looked at the list.
Jason Grace
Piper Mclean
Leo Valdez
Nico DiAngelo
Hazel Levesque
Frank Zhang
So, basically the seven plus Nico. Huh. At this point I was still pretty clueless as to what was going on. Was Gaea rising again or something? Deciding to think about it later (yes, much to Annabeth’s disagreement I do think…if only on occasion…), I pulled out a drachma and messaged Jason.
Jason looked up from a desk, obviously busy and stressed. “Percy? What do you want?” He said it in a way that was welcoming and friendly, but clearly stated he didn’t have time to chit chat. I got to the point.
“Annabeth said that Chiron wanted all of us to meet him at the Big House. In an hour.”
Jason took a deep breath. “Okay. I will try to be there. If I am not there, don’t wait up for me. I am currently busy with stuff so I have to pack that up and then get a lift over there, which will be really hard in such a short time. Who else is coming?”
“Um, the seven and Nico to my knowledge. I think Thalia is also coming.”
“Okay. I will leave you to contact the rest. Hopefully I will see you in an hour.” He waved and then cut his hand through the mist. I sighed. I was sorta hoping that he would be able to get Frank and Hazel, but I guess they might be different places. Plus he looked about ready to scream when I told him the time limit. Oh well. I called Hazel next.
“Hazel?”
Hazel jumped in surprise. “Percy, oh thank gods. You scared me.”
“Okay, so Chiron wants us all at the Big House in an hour. Do you think you can make it?”
“Well, I can certainly try.” She started fanning herself like she was thinking before realizing I was still there and cutting the connection. What was with this whole people being busy thing? Next I called Frank.
“Hey Perce.”
“Hi Frank. So the seven, plus some, are needed at the Big House in an hour.” Frank looked just about ready to explode. He calmly got himself under control before nodding, ending the conversation. I ended the message and left to go find Piper, Leo, and then I remembered Nico and sat down to call him- only to have him greet me from a corner of my cabin. I jumped about three feet in the air.
“Nico?! What the heck?” He looked at me cooly and I took a deep breath. “No, no its fine. I was actually just about to go looking for you. We are all needed at the Big House in less than an hour. Think you could help me gather up the others? We need Piper and Leo. Everyone else should be informed by now.” His expression didn’t change as he left my room, though it may have shifted a little, I could never read emotion on that kid.
I then realized we hadn’t discussed who to find, so I decided to go find Piper. I doubt Nico would brave the pink frills. I walked to the Aphrodite cabin, putting on my best poker face. I was worried I would run into Drew.
Finally finding them in the Volleyball courts, I pulled Piper aside. Getting tired of repeating the message over and over again I just said, “Big House, one hour, Chiron’s orders.” Without even waiting for a response I went to go to the lake for a few moments.
(A/N: Okay, so this story is being written by two authors. We will each take every other chapter. As a result, the styles may not be the same. Hopefully the story will turn out well. For the odd chapters at least, constructive criticism is welcome, but just bashing the chapter will not likely get anywhere. ~ πτώση)
