Chapter 10: The Fate of Love

Hoseok's P.O.V

So many thoughts were going through my head as we entered the dark building. I didn't know what to expect nor what I was even doing here. Tara could be in serious trouble and her only hope was me and Yoongi. My trainee days didn't prepare me for special Ops missions but I wasn't the kind of person to give up especially not on Tara. We walked towards the elevator and got on. Neither of us talked probably because we were both scared of what was to come. The tension was really thick and I was losing my mind. Yoongi pressed the floor button that looked more used than the others and we both leaned against the wall as we were lifted. Suddenly my phone went off and we jumped.

"Why is your ringer on?" Yoongi asked looking at me disapprovingly.

"I'm sorry I didn't know it was still on." I looked at the caller id and saw that it was Namjoon. "It's Namjoon, I should answer right?" I asked as we got closer to the floor.

"No, he'll just tell us to leave and call the cops and we're already here. We can't back out now, not when Tara needs us." Yoongi adjusted his weapons and sighed deeply. I rejected the call and turned my phone off. Suddenly the elevator stopped. We were here.

Neither of us wanted to step out of the elevator but eventually Yoongi took the lead and walked forward. It was now or never so I followed him and we walked down the hallway. There was only one door at the end as we pressed forward. Every step closer became heavier. I was holding my breath and I looked over to see Yoongi looking emotionless which meant he was scared, really scared. We reached the door and stopped. He looked at me and nodded, I was about to knock on the door when we heard screaming and a gunshot go off. I froze but Yoongi went into action and kicked the door in.

Tara's P.O.V

So many things happened at once, in such a short time and I'm not sure I saw everything clearly. The henchman was pointing a gun at my mother's head and I heard the gun go off, I screamed and at the same time I saw Yoongi and Hoseok burst through the door. The gun that went off wasn't from the henchman but from Kris who stood frozen as I saw the henchmen fall to the ground in a heap. Kris shot him.

"What are you doing Kris?!" yelled Mr. Wu as he charged towards Kris who fired another shot at his father that missed him and hit me instead. I blacked out from the excruciating pain.

Hoseok's P.O.V

Kris had shot Tara in the shoulder and I watched her black out. I was about to run to her when I saw Yoongi point his gun at Kris who was trying to shoot the man who was charging at him. I hesitated too long before Yoongi fired and his bullet hit the man who was going towards Kris. A henchmen came to stop us and I swung my baton at his head making contact and he crumbled to the floor. Yoongi rushed pass us and went to Kris. I went to Tara who was still unconscious.
