Lucy's POV
My eyes fluttered open and I was met with a white ceiling.
Everything started to come back to me and I started crying as I remembered that Hibiki kissing Jenny wasn't a dream.
I really loved Hibiki, and he ripped my heart out and stomped on it. I turned to my side and began crying harder into my pillow when the door opened. I honestly didn't care and continued to cry.
Someone sighed and put something down on the night table that was behind me and then I felt that same person lift the blankets and slide under the covers with me.
The person wrapped there arms around my waist and pulled me into their chest. They were really warm.
I quickly turned and cried into the person's chest, grabbing a handful of the vest they were wearing with each hand.
The person, who I assumed was male, hugged me tighter and played with my hair, calming me down.
Eventually my sobs became hiccups and the person wiped my tears from my eyes.
I looked up and saw Natsu there with a soft expression.
"N-Natsu?" I hiccuped.
He nodded and smiled slightly.
"Ya." He whispered.
"W-why?" I asked.
"Because Lucy, I care about you. I know what Hibiki did to you, I already beat him up for that, but I understand what you're going through-and I'm gonna be here for you." He explained in a soft voice.
I started to tear up again and he wiped them again.
"Luce, look at you hand." He said.
I looked back at my hands, which were placed on his chest, and saw a pink Fairy Tail guild mark on my right hand.
I began crying more, but this time tears of joy.
I latched onto Natsu and he chuckled. He wrapped his arms around me again and then kissed my forehead. I smiled and began to hiccup again before falling asleep in Natsu's arms.
Maybe I never needed Hibiki. Maybe all I needed was the pink haired idiot that was always right in front of me.
