Dumbledore's POV
"So, what do you think?" I said as I looked to my phoenix familiar, Fawkes' inspection. He looked at my attire with a criticizing eye before agreeing with a satisfied warble.I took a deep breath as I mentally prepared myself for the meeting. You see this meeting is going to be about the mages that are going to arrive in the morning which is the same day as the sorting ceremony and the start of Harry Potter's second year at Hogwarts.
"Albus" A feminine voice with a slight Scottish accent cut me off from my thought as my deputy headmistress, Minerva McGonagall came in along with the rest of the staff.
"Ah yes, thank you for coming here everyone. Lemon drops, anyone?"I asked as they sat down.
"Albus, I think I speak for everyone here that what exactly was so important that it could not wait in the morning." Minerva said in a questioning voice as the rest nodded their heads in agreement.
"Very well, however before I begin I would like to say that everything that I tell in stone cold truth no matter how ridiculous or unbelievable it may sound. Understood?" I said with narrowed eyes and a serious cold voice which has brought some surprised looks from some of them but agreed nonetheless.
"Good!, now where to begin?" I said sounding a bit pmore cheerfully which earned me a few questioning looks from my sudden change in my demeanor.
" Of course, I'm happy. I just talked to my childhood heroes this afternoon. Who wouldn't be happy?" I thought as I remembered the meeting that happened just awhile ago.
"Ah! Yes. It all started when I was pondering in my office about the troll incident that happened in the last term. I was worrying about young Mr. Harry Potter, it seems that young Harry inherited his fathers ability to attract trouble effortlessly and with the Dark Lord after him, it looks like he might not even be alive to live past his 20s.
I looked and looked for any way to help the poor child but to no avail, I was just about to lose hope when I saw my fathers picture on my desk and remembered the stories he told me as a child. You see my father was not from this world." I said as I stood up and went to the chest where I kept the lacrima that took me to Fiore and placed on my desk for them to see. It was a beautiful one at that with its luminescent blue color and a gold stand with gold vines wrapped around it."Albus, what do you mean he was not from this world?" Filius asked in his squeaky voice with confusion evident in both his voice and face.
"Well, Filius my father is a person from a dimension called Earthland where the magical and non-magical live together in harmony. In this dimension there is a country named Fiore which at the moment still uses the monarchy with Toma E. Fiore as king. The magical call themselves mages and they don't use wands. However they do classify themselves as either caster or holder mages. We can be classified as holder mages since we need our wands to channel out our magical energy inside us and into our wands to do magic." I said as I sat back down. I put my hands on the lacrima and pushed some magic into it and it shone before showing a map of Fiore. There was gasps going around as they witnessed a new type of magic so similar to theirs yet so completely different at the same time.
"In this country there is a town called Magnolia." I said as it zoomed in to Magnolia and showed the Kardia Cathedral in all its midnight magnificence.
"This is where my father lived and where I was born. This town is occupied by the current #1 guild in Fiore, Fairy Tail." I said with pride as some of them snickered at the name. I suppose I should be insulted but Im not, I made no move to diminish any doubts in their skills, I'll leave that to Makarov.
"What exactly is a guild, Albus?" Serverus said with his usual drawl but I heard a bit of curiosity in his voice.
"Well Serverus, a guild is a type of organization in Fiore, characterized by member base and common trade. The purpose of a guild is to obtain or disseminate job requests to the members of the guild. This is how most mages make a living." I explained as they became interested at the topic.
"My father, Percival Dumbledore, was a Mage at Fairy Tail. My mother on the other hand was an Unspeakable who was unknowingly sent to Earthland and met my father. In Fairy Tail there is a small group that consisted of the most powerful mages of Fairy Tail called The Circle Of Tenroujima. My father was part of this group which included five other people and the master of the guild." I said with pride evident in my voice and admiration shining in my eyes.
"It sounds beautiful, Albus. Why did you leave?" Pomona asked with confusion and curiosity in her question. I heaved a sigh at her inquiry with defeat.
"We had no choice, Pomona. You see not a few months after I was born The Dark Wizard Zeref attacked the capital, Crocus. All mages of Fiore were to be sent to Crocus to join the battle. Naturally, The Circle was also ordered to go but my father knew if he went he may never see us again and The Circle knew how much we meant to father and so they made a lacrima to send us back here. My mother and I were ready to take the journey and was just saying our goodbyes when The Fairy Tail guild hall was bombed. The force of the blast knocked my father, mother and I into the portal. The last thing we heard was the rest of The Circle saying goodbye. It was not until later my father had realized that they planned for him to go with us." I told them with my heart in my throat as I pushed the memories to the back of my mind. I looked up to see them with understanding in their eyes.
"But what I didn't know was that the lacrima that brought us here still works. With that I was able to return and ask their help in protecting the school and its students. And to be reinforcement if The Dark Lord is not defeated in time." I explained to them with determination in my eyes.
"When will they be arriving, Albus?" Minerva asked with respect in her eyes.
"Tomorrow morning!" I said giddily with a happy-go-lucky tone.
"WHAT?!" They all said shocked at my proclamation.
"Albus!, you should have told us sooner. We didn't even prepare anything." Minerva scolded me with her hands on her hips. I chuckled with mirth in my eyes at the exact same pose my mother would do when I did something naughty.
"Not to worry, Minerva. Half of the team are nocturnal and the rest have flexible internal clocks, they can lounge about in the Room of Requirement." I said in a carefree tone which earned me some exasperated looks.
"And that's about it. So any questions?" I asked with a smile ready to answer their questions.
"Are they capable of protecting this school and its students?" Serverus asked with doubt and uncertainty in his voice.
"I'll let you be the judge of that.
