COMPLETED - It's mid-nineties when Robert and Susan get hired at the bar. They are both there to do the same - tend bar – although she gets the title of barista where he is simply the barkeeper. From day one that leads to plenty of assumptions about eachother.
Robert is convinced that the smart coffee girl with the shy smile is after his job. That's how it works. They hire two to keep the most reliable one, and even though he is a hard worker, he has a hard time convincing bosses that he's not an irresponsible rogue. Besides, a cute good girl like her is too irresistible not to win.
Susan is skeptical that Robert's good looks are anything more than superficial and is pretty sure that this piece of eye-candy will only disappoint her as soon as he opens his mouth. That type of guy is usually completely self-absorbed. And even if he's not, she is far too plain to even register on his radar.
But maybe, just maybe, they gauged each other all wrong.
