Hey it me again! I hope you guys like this new book. I'm trying something different this time. This time I'm going to try to upload every saturday and since its a short story it shouldn't be too hard to keep up with.

Chapter 1

Aiden's P.O.V.

“She’s odd, isn’t she?” The frail, white-haired librarian, smiled up at me.

I scoffed. “Who?”

She snickered, an evil-mastermind laugh that should never belong to a 60 year old woman.

“Don’t try to deny it, son. I saw you staring at her.” At once, we turned our heads to the girl of the hour.

She was going to break something, she had to. The way she was twisting her body in so many different directions was a potential hazard for herself and the stocked up bookshelves around her. She paused for a moment as she took time to push the cart full of novels she had to shelve and adjust her headphones.

My eyes flicked down as she bent to rescue a fallen book. Though, there wasn’t much to see. I hadn’t the slightest idea what color hair she had, considering the beanie and sweatshirt hood she was constantly dressed in. Her body was drenched in the huge, long sweatshirt and wide unflattering boot cut jeans. And of course, you can’t forget the worn out converses.

I hadn’t been studying her for long, just for about the two weeks I had been at this school. Since the moment Jake brought her up. I had been content with just watching her walk down the catwalk of the cafeteria line. The way her hips swished side to side, even through her oversized sweatshirt you could clearly see them. Or, I just had an awesome imagination. Either way, Jake caught me.

“Talk to her.” He had stated bluntly, pushing me slightly with his shoulder. I had met Jake just that day. He was in all of my classes so far, and he wasn’t annoying. Until now.

“Who?” I asked looking around the giant cafeteria. There were at least 300 teenagers occupying this space. He could have been talking about anyone. But he wasn’t.

“Her name’s Rose. And she talks to no one. She’s like the smartest girl in school.” Jake stopped, took a second to assess her and said “and the prettiest.”

Back then I didn’t see his logic. She was invisible. She should have been anyway. But somehow, she attracted every single eye in the room. And she had no idea. No matter how much disdain girls held against her, they could not take their eyes away. Same as the guys. But for them it was a different story.

Males did not look at her the same way they would a cheerleader, or a really pretty girl. Or porn. It wasn’t that she exuded confidence or dressed remotely hot. She was just fascinating. I didn’t know what it was. I don’t think anyone knew what it was. She sparked this eerie interest in the back of my mind.

But I didn’t want her.

“Rose, huh?” I was still staring at her. I couldn’t seem to stop.

“Yeah. Rumor has it; she hasn’t dated a guy since 6th grade. How hot is a virgin?”

“And you think I could change that?”
