Chapter Twenty-Two

Jaehee's Pov

Will everything be alright once I open my eyes tomorrow? Will I ever be the same again after this transformation?

There were a lot of questions ringing in my head, beckon for me to give them answers as soon as possible.

But how do I find the answers if I'm too afraid to look for them?

"Luhan..." I called.

He looked at me and tilted his head a bit to the side. "Yeah?"

"Does it hurt?"

My question was a bit too sudden that he was taken aback for a moment but eventually he flashed a smile as if to give me some reassurance. "I'll make sure it doesn't hurt that much. I promise."

The terrified feeling I had in me was still there but he managed to lessen it a little, I was thankful enough that he thought of making the pain a bit bearable for me to withstand.

I returned the smile and nodded my head. "Alright, I'm ready." I closed my eyes and took a deep breath as I waited for whatever he was about to do.

He'd probably sink his teeth into my neck, I've seen something like this a dozen times in movies.

I felt him coming closer to me then his arm wrapped around my waist pulling me closer, I still had my eyes close so I didn't know what kind of expression he was making but the pounding of my heart beat was so loud, I was afraid he'd hear it.

Not a moment too soon, he whispered something in my ear. "This won't hurt too much." His breath sent shivers in my entire system. I gripped onto the sleeve of his shirt and waited for the bite.

Then I felt his teeth sink into my neck, it was painful at first but like Luhan promised, it didn't hurt after that. He didn't drink my blood or anything but I felt some kind of fluid rushed into my body and effected every cells inside my system.

My eyelids were getting really heavy, I tried to blink them open but it was really hard, I was starting to lose consciousness.

Everything around me went dark as I looked up at the starless sky thinking of what I'd become when I wake up tomorrow.

Soon after I lost conscious.
