The ground pounded beneath my feet as they made contact with the still damp grass. The sun was just beginning to peak over the tallest mountain in the land and the grass was still heavy with dew. I smiled down at the ground as I made it to the clearing just in time to see the ruby, red, sun rise into the sky turning everything it touched into a shimmering splendor. This was my favorite part of the day; it was the only time when I could be alone with my thoughts. The rest of my life was all planned for minute by minute. My name is Natasha and you see I was to be the future queen and was to be wed by the fall of the third moon and my parents had already picked out a suitor. He was fine and very nice, but love just wasn’t something to be forced upon someone.
I didn’t want this, why couldn’t my parents understand that. I sighed as I ran a hand through my messy, windblown hair and sat down in the clearing just staring out over the ocean. I brushed the small tears from my eyes that had been forming due to the stress and anger. All I wanted was to find love in my own time and by my own means.
-----Inside the Tardis-----
~Rory’s POV~
The blue police box groaned as the tall man in the suspenders danced around the console flipping switches and pressing buttons. I just sat there and watched as he got tossed to the ground, I swear sometimes I truly think that he has no clue what he is doing. The Doctor groaned in frustration, but kept his cool as he jumped back up to check where the Tardis had spit them out this time. His eyes sparkled with wonderment and just a hint of child like delight. I cleared my throat to make my presence known…or at least to remind him that I was still there, “so uh, Doctor where exactly are we?”
The Doctor spun around clasping his hands together, “we Rory have landed on the planet called Kaininia. It’s a rather lovely little planet. I spent a few summers there when I was just a mere boy. Although, I did almost get eaten…twice, but never mind that lets go meet some of the locals shall we.” He grinned wide as he snapped his fingers opening the Tardis door, “Geronimo!”
~Back to Natasha’s POV~
A gentle wind arose out of nowhere causing me to stir from my gentle meditation. I stood from my spot on the ground and listened intently. A strange vworping sound could be heard in the distance. I made my way through the jungle until I stumbled upon the site of the noise. Excitement and adrenaline coursed through my veins with every step I took closer to the strange looking box. My hand trembled as I reached forward to touch the doors and just like that the doors flew open. I stumbled back and rolled behind the nearest tree. My breaths were now heavy as I tried to calm my nerves. I peaked back around and watched as these strange new creatures stepped out.
~Rory’s POV~
The light filled my eyes as we stepped out into the new territory. I blinked a few times and as my eyes adjusted to the new source of light I took in my surroundings while The Doctor scanned a few things here and there with his sonic screwdriver. The planet was filled with thick, vibrant vegetation. The blues, reds, and oranges swirled together to create all new colors. “Wow…” was all I could say at the moment. This planet was so beautiful, and thanks to The Doctor not being able to fly his Tardis correctly, I got to see it. A smile crossed my lips and I made my way towards The Doctor.
~Natasha’s POV~
I picked myself up off the ground and decided to follow the strangers, after all for all I know they could be here for war. My pace quickened as they rounded the next corner, but as I made my way around it they were nowhere to be seen. I pulled my small golden dagger from its hiding spot on my left thigh. “Impossible” I breathed out as stood scratching my head. They just vanished. “Hello, I’m The Doctor…and you must be one of the locals I presume.”
