chapter 1.

my mom and I have just moved to Savannah, 2 weeks ago. during those 2 weeks, we've been unpacking.

unpacking, unloading and putting stuff away into our new house. I have also seen a boy with brown curls sitting perfectly on his head. he mainly wears black, and has a lot of tattoos. I don't really know the colors of his eyes, but they look sort of green... blue maybe?

the boy also has a black lip piercing. I don't usually go for the emo or rock type of guys but, to me.. this one is different.

my house isn't big, but its nice. its a one story building with 3 rooms. my moms room, my room, and my art room. I draw a lot, so I have gained a collection of canvases, paints and paint brushes over the years, and they all won't fit into my room.

my dad left when I was only 5 when he decided to divorce my mom. I was turning 6 the day he left. a good way to spend my birthday, huh? not really.

I don't really know why he left. or divorced my mom, but I wasnt happy when he left. I spent the whole day crying, and he didn't seem to care enough to apologize or explain why. he just did.

I'm going to be a freshman in s.c.a.d. (Savannah College of Art and Design). that's why my mother and I moved here. so we could be closer to the college, and spend a lot less than we need to on dorms.

I'm not really sure if the guy with brown curls on his head goes there. I mean, he doesn't really look like the type of guy that draws, paints, or even sketch a picture. but he could draw tattoos, or have a business of his own, tattooing people.

"des!" my mom screams from the kitchen, of our freshly new house.

I got up out of bed and carried myself to my closet. I decided to wear a white flowey tank top, with black shorts that are 3 to 4 inches below my butt.

then I went to my dresser, to get my white colored sandals that had black jewels on them.

for makeup, I whore peach colored lip stick, black eye shadow, black eye linerrr, and black mascara. a lot of makeup, huh?

I didn't do much to my long gold-ish hair. I just brushed it, and took another glimpse at myself, before my mom screamed my name once more. letting me know I needed to hurry.

I walked down the hallway, and nearly fell over my moms flip flops close to her room.

"sorry, I forgot about those." she says, like she knew I fell over them.

"I made you breakfast. I hope you don't mind?" she says.

"oh, no. I love your cooking. I wouldn't mind at all." I say, and smile at her. she returns the gesture and gets 2 plates out of the cabinet.

she piles her food high, and hands me a plate. I decide on getting, bacon, eggs, pancakes and toast. I wasn't really hungry, but I did clear my plate.

"do you know where s.c.a.d is?" she asked me, when she was finished eating.

"yes. I think so. isn't it near the library?" I reply.

"yeah. you might want to leave now, so you won't be late." she assures me.

"ok, love you." I tell her, before grabbing my keys, and walking out the door to my car.

when I opened my car door, I saw the boy with curly hair, drive by. he kept staring at me. it was a little weird, but I didn't pay it much attention.

when I got to the school parking lot, I noticed there were a lot of students here. I didn't really expect it, but its ok.
