It had been a few days since you first heard the news. Three of the members had already had their funerals, each just as sad as the last. You were sitting at your desk doing some homework when your phone started ringing. You quickly checked the caller ID before answering.

"Hello? Mijin, what's up?"

"(Y/N)..." she mumbled on the other end of the line, "I've been thinking... about what Soojung said the other day."

"Soojung? B.A.P?" you muttered, trying to remember what the obnoxious girl had said.

"No, not that. The thing she said about BTS. Investigating." You bit your lip as you listened to the girl. "I think that... I would like to do it."

"Mijin... are you sure that's a good idea? We could get into serious trouble for that." You could hear her take a deep breath on the other end of the line.

"I did some research on the crime and found out where it happened. It's pretty far and almost in the middle of nowhere, but there are a few hotels nearby since it's a tourist attraction."

"The house is?"

"No, where the house is located. It's near the Wolchulsan Mountain. In the Jeollanam Province." Mijin hesitated for a moment before continuing. "(Y/N), can you also call Junseo? He was right, it is probably safer to have a boy with us. Just in case." Your eyes drifted to the scrap of paper sitting on your desk. You sighed quietly.

"When do you want to go?" You could hear her smiling on the other side of the phone.

"There's a bus that leaves this Saturday morning, but the semester break is next week so we won't have to worry a couple of weeks." You tapped a finger on your desk, going through the pros and cons in your head. "(Y/N), please. I need to find out what happened to them. You know how the police are, they never do their jobs properly, especially when they're from small towns. If we don't do anything, no one will." You closed your eyes and shook your head as you gave another sigh.

"Fine. Start setting up the arrangements. I'll call Junseo right now."

"Yes!" she called out with excitement. "Thank you, (Y/N)! I'll start getting things ready! I'll see you in school tomorrow! Let me know what Junseo says! Bye!" She hung up the phone before you were able to say anything. You shook your head as you picked up the note Junseo had given you. You bit your lip as you debated calling him... but you already promised Mijin, you can't let her down. You slowly typed his number into your phone, trying your best to extend the time until you had to talk to him. Why were you so nervous about this? You'd never been this shaky about talking to him before. You quickly pressed the call button before you could think twice about it and change your mind. The phone rang as you held it to your ear and you closed your eyes, silently hoping he wouldn't pick up. The ringing stopped.

"Hello?" Damn it.

"Junseo?" you asked quietly, just to be sure.

"Yes. Is this you, (Y/N)?" he asked, his voice seeming to brighten slightly.

"Yeah." You hesitated for a moment before continuing. "So, Mijin called me a few minutes ago."

"Ah, has there been a development in the Bangtan case, Detective (Y/N)?" he said with a slightly joking tone. There was no hint of malice, like the way Soojung joked, so you knew he meant it light-heartedly. You giggled quietly.

"Indeed, Detective Junseo. It seems that Detective Mijin has discovered the location of the crime and is intent in investigating further. She plans to depart this weekend in hopes of discovering more clues at the scene of the crime." You could hear a light tapping on the other end of the line.

"She really wants to do this?" he mumbled.

"Yeah," you said with a nod. "She really loved those boys." 'I did too,' you added under your breath.

"Then I'll keep my promise. Can't let two young girls running off to murder sites on their own, now can I? ...Where exactly are we going, though?"

"About that... The house is at Wolchulsan Mountain."

"Jeez, that's far."

"Mijin is already making arrangements. We'll be leaving on Saturday, but I'm not sure how long we'll be staying."

"Alright, guess I'd better start packing," he said with a laugh. "I'll see you at school tomorrow, (Y/N). Good night."

"Good night, Junseo." You set the phone down as the line cut off and checked the time. 12:30 already. It was probably best to just go to bed, you could worry more about all of this tomorrow.

As you settled yourself under the covers, thoughts raced through your mind. Were you really sure you wanted to do this? There were a lot of things that could go wrong. Was it really worth it? Your mind turned to Mijin, the sweet girl that had been your friend for years. You couldn't let her down. A small sigh left you and you shook your head. 'Don't worry so much, (Y/N). Everything will work out fine,' you thought to yourself before letting sleep take you.

A/N: Sorry if the pick up is a little slow, I likecharacter development. Things should get going in the next chapter or twodepending on how long I end up making the chapter lol. Yeah, this one isn'tmuch longer than the first but I'm actually in the middle of finals. My lastassignment is due on Saturday (May 6th), so hopefully after I turnthat in I'll have more free time and be able to either update more frequentlyor make my updates longer. You guys can pick which you'd prefer: short but fastor long but not as fast lol. Thanks for reading guys, I hope you enjoyed this.

p/s: I almost posted this without changing the reader's name lol what's wrong with me. (When writing I give the reader a name and then change it to (Y/N) before publishing. Idk man, it's easier.)
