Changed At Night

Chapter 5

Everyone looks at Edward in shock as purple smoke curls up into the air. For a moment no one moves, or even breaths. Even Renesmee's gone shocked to silence with no breath. That was easier than I thought.

Suddenly, Esme lets out a sob and Carlisle pulls her into his arms. I feel bad for them. They couldn't even figure out their own son. Even after the human girl left and Edward gave the child to Emmett and Rose.

Then, somebody starts clapping behind me. I turn and we all look to see Alec clapping slowly. When he catches us staring he just shrugs and smiles as if to say, 'what could I do?'.

"Y..yo..you killed him?!" Tanya screeches. Right, the fake blonde who had a huge crush on Edward and almost killed me to get to him when I was human. I really hated that bitch.
Still do apparently.

"Yep, whatcha gonna do about it? You never saw the real him apparently," I say nonchalantly.

Tanya hisses and lungs at me. I go to block her but Kate and Eleazer grab her, bringing her back. They talk lowly to her about not wanting to start a fight and how she needs to chill.

I smile smugly at her making her glare at me. She finally agrees with them after a scowl and a sigh.

"So, no fighting?" Alice asks hopefully. Aro is silent for a while, making everyone else silent. You can practically feel the suspension and tenseness in the air.

Finally, Aro shakes his head. Everyone lets out sighs of relief all around the field. "No, we will not fight. Today," He adds making me tense.

Honestly, I wouldn't have minded fighting before. It would have given me a chance to whoop Edwards ass and show him who's boss. But now, I don't mind the others.

I smiled at the young girl and started to head back towards my group. But I stopped when a small hand grabbed my hand making me pause. I turned my head and glanced back at Renesmee.

"Yes, child?" I ask kindly.

Renesmee bit her lip for a moment and was silent. Around us, I could hear the cheers of her group as they celebrated not having to fight and my group who were grumbling and whining, today. Today. It rang in my head like a death sentence. Would we ever fight? Or was Aro just trying to scare them?

Renesmee put her hand on my cheek like before, and I listened to what she has to say.

"Won't you stay with us?" she asks. I shake my head.

"My home is with them, the Volturi," I say gesturing toward the present people.

She sighs. "Will I ever see you again?" she asks making me smile.

I nod. "Probably, but it might not be for a long time," I say and she nods.

I pull away and give her a hug before turning and heading toward Alec. That girl breaks my heart. Something I haven't felt for a long time. There's just something about her, I just can't put my finger on.

"Izzy!" Someone calls making me stop again. I let out an annoyed sigh and turn to see Rose hurrying toward me with a piece of paper.

"I you ever want to talk, I'm sure Renesmee would love it. She seems to like you more than she should for a first meeting," Rose explains as I take the paper from her outstretched hand.

I smile and nod before turning and finishing my walk towards Alec. We smile at each other and he pulls me into his arms for a hug. But my mind was elsewhere as he gave me a kiss.

The paper Rose gave me, should I do it? Or ignore them like I have for the past few years?

Hiya! Sorry for not updating this for like two months! But I've had no ideas and no clue how to move this. As you can tell, I'm team Jasper not Alec so this is something new for me:)

But I'm trying because more people have liked this then I thought:)
