Liz P.O.V
I woke up in a room. One of those hospital rooms. I heard a beeping noise and looked over. It was a heart monitor.
What am I doing in a hospital?
Just as I tried to sit up, I hear gasps come from the doorway. I looked and froze.
No. It's not her. She died.
My mother. And my father!? No. Hes in jail. He doesn't come out until 10 more years.
My mom came rushing towards me and squeezed me in a hug.
I slowly hugged back.
"Your awake! My baby girl is awake." She cried in my shoulder.
"Mom? How are you here? You died......." I say, still in shock.
She gave me a confused face.
"Honey, what do you mean? Im right here, I didn't die." She says in worry. I look back at my father.
I point, scarily towards him.
"What is he doing here? Did he get out early?" I ask, looking around.
"Honey, what are you talking about? What did I get out of?" My father walks towards me.
"You were in jail. You should stay there." I say with venom.
He and my mom exchange looks.
"Do you remember anything after the accident?" He asks me.
I shake my head. Confused.
"You slipped in the bathroom and hit your head on the sink. Honey.......you were in a coma for 2 years." My mom says, tearing up with happy tears.
What. Haha it's a joke. It has to be.
"No, mom. I was planning on getting married. I met the love of my life. I had children. I turned 20. I was famous...." I ramble on and on.
My dad cuts me off.
"Honey, your 19." He says and my eyes widen.
I start breathing heavily.
My mom turns to dad.
"Get the doctor." She says, firmly.
I try to understand. Im 19. Not 20. But I had a birthday. I did turn 20. This isn't real. It's a dream.
My dad soon comes back with a young looking woman. She gives me a huge smile.
"Your awake, Ms. Henderson. How do you feel?" She asks, looking at some files.
"I want Jake. Wheres Jake?" I ask, trying to get up and look.
"Whos Jake?" Dad asks. Mom looks at the doctor.
"Can I talk to your daughter for a moment?" The doctor asks and my parents leave the room.
"Im Bailey. Now, can you tell me what happened over the past 2 years?" Bailey asks.
And I do. I tell her about my friends. My youtube career. Jake. Team 10. My babies. How I was gonna get married. How my mom died. My dad is supposed to be in jail for almost committing murder.
She nods with a frown.
"We do have some people here by the names Kestin, Daniel, Gooby, Leo, and Kuri. But theres no Jake." She says and I start to tear up.
"Elizabeth, my prediction is that while you were in a coma, your mind started to think about completely other stuff. So, you didn't feel like you were in a coma. It made up these characters and that was your life. It made up all the things you just told me. Im sorry." Bailey says.
I lay back down.
None of it was real?
