This is by no means a favourite, but something that I know very well, and something really unsettling. I live in a close community, where about 8 years ago a family (5) was murdered. I lived 3 streets away and news travelled very fast. There was one 'survivor', a young girl who was on a school trip overseas when it happened. I went to primary school with the two boys, and high school which the survivor. The killer was found guilty a few weeks ago, and it is undeniably creepy that the person convicted, was the person that the survivor went to live with after the murders.
Not unsolved, but still.
