The Talk

Katniss's POV

I go back to my room and start crying. The nurse came in and gave me news that I will be staying longer than expected. "Mrs. Mellark you will be staying two more weeks and I need to put a braclet on your arm. Sorry. Are you hurting? On a scale from 1 to 10 how much is the pain?" I felt my head. "10." She walked out the door and I put the braclet on. She came back in and gave me some pills and a shot. She left and I got bored fast. I walked to Peeta's room and he's awake. I sat on the edge of his bed. He started bursting out in tears. I gave him a hug. He cried for a long time and I was petting his hair. The last time I saw him like this he was tring to kill me. He ran out of tears and was trying to stop crying. I was about to pull away but he grabbed my back harder. "Katniss ... don't leave me." I grabbed him again. "I wasn't planning to." We sit ther hugging for a long time. Finally he let me go. I look at him and he's all cut up. I can't stand him looking like that. I started crying too. So the nurse came in and saw us both crying and holding on to eachother... wouldn't you laugh a little? (I bet you are now!) So she left and we were both still crying not wondering why to eachother. Well we finally stopped after a while. "So. Do you feel like going to Haymitch?" He shakes his head 'no.' Then he hugs me. "Why don't you want to go?" He just shakes his head. "Peeta look at me?" He doesn't move. "Peeta?" He starts to cry again. "Peeta? Are you ok?" He shakes his head. I push him back and stare at his blue eyes. "Why don't you want to go see Haymitch?" He sighed. "Because I don't want to tell you." I stared at him and then I kissed him. He shivered with delight. I pulled back. "Peeta look at me. I will always love you. Evan if I act upset I will always love you. I am married I think. Maybe still fiance but I don't care. I will always love you through better or worse." He smiled and started to cry again. I gave him another hug and he whispered, "If you give me another kiss I will go." I smiled and pushed him back. He gave me another kiss and he held my face. Oh he knows that makes me crazy! I pull back and grab his hand. I stood up and helped him out of bed. "I haven't been out of bed for a while. I might fall down." I laugh a little. Then I pulled him up. He was right he DID fall down. I helped him up and we practiced walked for a while around the room then we walked out of the room. He's walking fine now. In the middle of the hallway he pretended to slip just so I would grab ahold of him. He waved his eyebrows up and down and I giggled. "That's not funny." He walked the rest of the way. We saw Haymitch and he was in the waiting room. "Hey Haymitch. Wanna grab some lunch?" He nodded his head and we went to the lunch room. We got something to eat and we sat down.
