"What do you mean I can't go?" I asked my Mom, confused on why I couldn't hang out with Jonathan.

"I already told you Last week about this. Today is the day you have your appointment with Dr.Wattson. You missed it last month so we are making up for it today." My mom said.

School had just ended for the day. Jonathan and I ended up talking a lot since Karlie wasn't there. We were going to go to the park after school today, but of course something else has to take over.

"Mom I'm fine, okay? This isn't going to get any worse. All that's really happened to me are headaches and stomach pains. Not that big of a deal."   I told her, trying to get my point across.

She looked up from her phone and gave me a stern look.
"[Y/N], this is the LAST time I'm going to tell you. No. I don't care if you think you're fine. I am not going to risk losing someone else I love!" My mom tried to look at me with anger but I could see her breaking down on the inside.
She has always been more careful and concerned for me ever since my dad left us a couple years ago, him having the same problem as me.

I sighed and went to go get her tissues from the kitchen.
"Fine. I'll go okay? Just please stop crying." I tell her trying not to cry myself.
She nodded and patted the tissue on her cheeks, stopping the tears that were falling.

"We will leave in 5 minutes. Go get ready." Mom told me.

Without responding I walked up the stairs into my room.
I shut the door kind of hard and flopped on the bed, groaning I annoyance.
After a while I decided to call Jonathan and tell him I couldn't hangout later.

"Hello?" He answers.

"Hey, Jonathan. I can't. Hangout today... Sorry about that." I told him.

I heard a slight gasp through the phone. "But why? You said you were free."

I chuckled. "That's what I thought until now. Maybe tomorrow..."

"Why can't you hang out?" he asked me again, sadness in his voice.

"I um... I really, can't tell you right now. I need to go."
He responded with an "Okay" and we ended the call.

"I see you finally made it for a check up." Dr.Wattson said, putting on his glasses and clicking his pen.

"Yes sir. Thank you for allowing us to do it today." My mom told him.
We sat in one of the patient rooms. I was sitting on the bed, my mother was sitting in one of the extra chairs and the Doctor was sitting in the spinning chair.

Dr.Wattson started to write down a few things, eyeing me back and forth between the papers.
"So what's happening. Any.....Problems?"
He asked me.

"Nothing is wrong with me. I'm fi--"

"She's been having headaches and stomach pains. She also has been tired lately." My mom answered for me.
I rolled my eyes in response.
He then wrote down a few more things.

"Okay.... I'm going to bring out a few things for you and we will go on from there." Dr.Wattson got out of his chair and proceeded to the door.

"Mom!" I whisper yelled.
"Do you want to get better?! You obviously were going to say you were fine when you haven't been!" She yells back. I scoffed and crossed my arms.

"Take these everyday. Don't take more than one at a time, and make sure to take it every 6 hours."
He hands my mom the prescription and gets up from his chair.

"Thank you Dr.Wattson, I'm sure she will do as told." My mom gives a cheesy smile and elbows my arm.

With that said we left the hospital and went home.

"Take it." Mom tells me, holding the pill in her right hand and the water in her left.
"I'm not going to stand here and wait for you to take it. I need to go to the grocery store to get things for dinner." She told me, grabbing her keys from the counter and going to the garage.
"I love you! You better take that!!!"
She shuts the door and heads off.

When her car was out of my view, I poured the water in the sink and wrapped the pill in a napkin then out it in the garbage.

"I'm fine."
