The clock on the wall moves faster
Than we ever dared try
They clipped our wings before
We even had a chance to fly
I don't know about you darling,
But I won't stand aside
I'm gonna leave this place today
I'm gonna leave before I die
Blinded by their fears before we
Had a chance to see
The world's a beautiful place..
Or at least.. That's what they tell me
They tied our wrists
They bound our feet
We learned to lie
We lived to cheat
I'm gonna leave this place today
I won't admit defeat
I'm filling up on empty promises
And ragged lies.
Every truth is becoming clear
Right before my eyes
Take my hand
And don't make a sound
I've got a plan
We're breaking out
We're gonna the world today
We are gonna bathe in the light of
The blue skies.
