My friends and I were at the carnival, having a good time, and just being carefree. Right now, we had no worries at all.

"Ana, c'mon, lets go on the ferris wheel!" Rebecca shouts as I exit the bathroom.

I run over to my crazy group of friends. "Alright, lets do it!" I say, walking towards the ferris wheel, my girls following close behind.

"A-Are you guys sure about this? Its really high up." Jessica says nervously.

"Oh, stop being a baby, Jess, you'll be fine." Bailey says, rolling her eyes.

I sigh. Bailey's always a little too hard on Jess sometimes. I mean, it does go pretty high. My stomach drops at the thought but I ignore it as I walk over to Jess. "Don't listen to them, okay. Ill hold your hand, you'll be okay, I promise." she looks a bit relieved at my words as she nods her head at me.

We walk up to the ferris wheel. The guy working the ferris wheel smiles at me. "Girl, I seen him smile at you." Rebecca says, "go talk to him, hes totally into you." I mean he is cute, but hes just not my type. He's looks like he sweet and soft, and I'm not exactly into that. I'm into a guy who's sweet but tough and like a bad boy, and be doesn't look anything like that.

I look at her, "nah, I'm good. You take him." she smiles that wicked smile of hers that will drive anyone crazy and winks at me.

"Two in each seat, please." he says as we climb in.

"I'm gonna sit with Jess." I say looking at Rebecca and Bailey. And Bailey rolls her eyes at Jess when she looks away. I feel bad for Jess, sometimes Bailey's so rude. I always try to say something but she always shut me down.

As we get in our seat the guy, whose name I see as Bryan, says, "buckle up." we do as he says and he closes the door to the little cart thing. He hands me something. I look at it. His number. Oh, my god. Sometimes guys are just too desperate. He looks at me and smiles before going to Rebecca and Bailey's cart to close their door. I crinkle up the paper and throw it on the ground without anyone noticing. I'm sorry for that but I just don't want to call him or text him or even be bothered by him. Wait, I'm not even sorry at all.

The ferris wheel start to move and Jess reaches for my hand and I let her grab it, feeling her hand squeeze mine. "Its going to be okay, Jess." I tell her, "I'm here." I squeeze her hand gently in a reassuring way.

"I want to look down, but I'm scared." she says, her voice shaking slightly.

"Its okay," I reassure her, "just do it, I'll do it with you. We'll do it on the count of three, okay." she nods as she looks at me. "Three, two, one!" I say and we both look down. I look at her face and I see awe with just sliver of nervousness.
