If I were to die tomorrow
How many of you would mourn me
How many of you would attend my wake
How many of you would be at my death bed
Watching me die
When and if I die
I will not need you then
Nor your tears
Now I will need you
Now I will need your compassion
Your love
Your faith
Before it's to late
I need your affection's now
Because when I die
It will be to late
I will be gone
Off to another fate
Your words fall on deaf ears
No words of forgiveness or love
Shall tumble from my lips
While I'm in the living
Live alongside me
For we all need love
Show me compassion
Not hate
Teach me my future
Aid in determining my fate
For death should wait
For it shall wait until I'm finished
It will wait til the end
When I say so
I will let it in
