Summer

That was in March. In June a torrid impalpable interloper prowled about the northeastern country face, hiked up the degrees and made it almost unbearable. Contrary to domestic homes, prisons cells are scarcely provided with air conditioners unless one was a prodigal by deeds.
The whole arrangement was a logical logical system just like geometry and it was a kind means rather it was the most powerful means to make him feel the mascularity of his doom.

"In the current days of conflict between ancient and Modern studies, there must surely be something to be said for a study which did not begin with Pythagoras and will end with Einstein; but it's the oldest and the youngest"  Ewan quoted.
"Well amigo!...!" Replied Jordan
"What?" Ewan asked
"Well... why don't you just break the tainted prison walls and run for your most ravishing exemption in the jungle nearby and be the famous hunter" Jordan divulged
"Hunter who?" Ewan inquired
"The famous hunter tale? Don't you know about it" Jordan answered
"Never mind"
"There was a hunter in the woods, who, after a long day hunting, was in the middle of an immense forest. It was getting dark, and having lost his bearings, he decided to head in one direction until he was clear of the increasingly oppressive foliage. After what seemed like hours, he came across a cabin in a small clearing. Realizing how dark it had grown, he decided to see if he could stay there for the night. He approached and found the door ajar. Nobody was inside. The hunter flopped down on a single bed, deciding to explain himself to the owner in the morning.
As he looked around inside the cabin, he was surprised to see the wall adorned with several portraits, all painted in incredible detail, without exception, they appeared staring down at him, their features twisted into looks of hatred and malice. Staring back he grew extremely uncomfortable. Making a concerted effort to ignore the many hateful faces, he turned to face the wall and exhausted, he fell into a restless sleep.
The next morning the hunter awoke, he turned blinking in the unexpected sunlight. Looking up he discovered that the cabin had no portraits only windows."

"Were you confined for talking shit?" Ewan taunted
"Whatever, well about your freedom, have you heard about the worm hole of this prison?" Jordan asked
"Excuse me?"
"Oh sure, you haven't, it is kind of the breaking point of this prison, all famous escapes are made from that point, but no one exactly knows where it actually is and on the authorities' part they reported it as a rumour so as save themselves from security obligations" Jordan said
"The apple doesn't fall far off the tree, the essence of your talk is like weeding a pond of water hyacinth" Ewan taunted
"Suzan Cortney, Joseph Woods and out of all Johnathan Drake all are far and wide known for breaking down from the prison, and everyone knows except for you,  it's from that very wormhole I told you about, nevertheless see you later pal." Jordan said while he made his way out of the basketball court.

Though Ewan knew that Jordan was a labelled dullard and a pleonast. But he couldn't deny the certitude of the decamp of Johnathan Drake or Lily white, the rumination of the wormhole didn't leave him till the shadowy dusk. By the morning he was intransigent about the wormhole and finding it was his life's priority.

Next day, he tried to ask the jailor tactfully about it, the jailor was in his middle 40s and was working there since time immemorial, his life was thrown into disarray when his wife leaves him since she thinks he is not good looking. His pain becomes a blind fury that threatened to burn every thing that crosses his way. Eventually he found peace when his wife was diagnosed with Vitiligo. He became an ardent believer of karma and since then he inculcated a good friendly nature in himself
"Hello, Mr. Geller" Ewan greeted
"Hey kid" the jailor winced down a smile
"How are you keeping up?" Ewan asked politely
"Nothing much kid. I just signed up for a yoga class, go hiking every now and then & go swimming every Sunday" the jailor replied
"Have you heard the rumours about the some Johnathan drake who broke free from this prison?. Like it's an obvious hoax for it's impossible to breach the prison security.. haha shame on those who believe it" Ewan interrogated
"Johnathan drake? The one who was executed?" Jailor's face grew some serious lines
"So it does exist and so it's true?" Ewan said with his usual shyness
"Did exist, and yes" the jailor said with a metaphorical twinkle in his eyes
"How come did he breach the security which is considered the best in the country?"Ewan asked
"Uh he did abscond but that's nothing you should worry" jailor taunted
"But why? How did he?" Ewan aloud
"The head never rules the heart but just becomes its partner in crime" the jailor quoted some philosopher
When someone is denied the right to live the life he believes in, he has no choice but to become an outlaw. The same happened with Ewan his curiosity killed his morale and made him yield to felonious ways.
In the evening when the sky broke like an egg into a full sunset and the clouds caught fire, Jordan came to him and told him about 3 other mortals who held the same reckoning and he introduced them as Jeff, Matt and Kate. Same ideas and notions what else could be a more stronger foundation for a friendship.?Soon the 4 became close friends and they had resolved that if there was no wormhole they'll make one!.
"Crime once exposed has no refuse but in audacity" said Kate "something doesn't feel right, we shouldn't be doing this I guess"
"Like I've said before, so many times before. I'm not a good person,I'm no hero. They think I'm a criminal, a liar, a cheat, a killer ,it is them or me and all I want is to live, to live the life I've been deprived from and the same goes with all of you" Matt said in one breath
"We are so doing it"  Jeff whispered
"But how, when and I'm sure you folks know that it's no novice's  toil to breach the security" Ewan divulged in his usual curious tone
"Ah about that, we should be thankful to Mr. Rudd our English teacher" Jeff replied

Every day around half past seven all the young prisoner had their English period. The English teacher was a cranky middle aged man who previously served in the army. He was monocular and had lost his one eye during the Franco Prussian war. His losses had scummed him to no end and made his interior stone cold as a result he didn't care about anyone's existence and considered teaching as a drudge. He didn't care about his student and the student loathed him too, often he was found lecturing to the murals of an empty classroom. This was the perfect time for the 4 friends to persist on their legation. After a month of hourly English errand the wormhole was ready and it was obvious to all them that through the wormhole they'll get to go back in time and live the life they used to.
**Escape night**
All the 3 friends started making their way through the wormhole. Ewan was the last one to enter through it, at the other end he couldn't believe his eyes.
The sky grew darker, painted blue on blue, one stroke at a time into deeper and deeper shades of night, on one end of the dark night the sky blushed yellow by the incandescent light of the crescent moon. The floor of the heaven seemed to kiss the the trodden earth.
His mind had other thoughts now, he looked up the sky noticed Orion or Gemini and heard his mother in his head "someone I loved for years gave me a box full of darkness. It took me years to understand it was a gift too"
He felt miserable, he understood the mortality of the situation he saw 3 shadows running vaguely over the vast stretch of wasteland. He made his way back to his cell and fell into a restless sleep, there was contentment in his breath.

The next morning dawned with chaos.
