Drip drop, drip drop.
The sound of rain against the train's window startled me, kicking me out of the utopia that are my dreams. I was wrapped with his jacket, it smelled of cedar wood and musk with echoes of lavender soap. He looked so cute when he slept. His messy hazelnut hair, falling just enough in his forehead. He felt calm.
Matteo.
"Are you doing that weird thing again, Hyacinth?" Matteo asked. I thought he was asleep! My cheeks started burning as if they were an oven. "No need to be embarrassed, I actually like it."
He smiled with a smile that could kill. A smile so bright it blinded. My heart was beating faster and faster and faster. If it goes faster, I would die.
"You really do?" I tried to cover myself with my hands.
Matteo came closer and grabbed my hand. "Hyacinth. That has always been my favorite flower." He kissed my hand like I was made of glass and suddenly was going to break.
"Matteo. Why do you love me?" Why you just asked that?! Matteo looked distressed.
"Jax, I love you because you are the only one who has truly seen me at my worst. You have also made me a better person and make me do my best. You are the one who can make my heart skip a beat. Most importantly, you are the only one who I can imagine myself with."
He grabbed my chin and started kissing me. I am getting hot. I slipped my tongue into his mouth and intensified the kiss. I felt the melody of our heartbeats match. "I love you Matteo. Of all the people the Universe could've gifted me... I am glad it was you."
After that, I just remember the train's brake failing and the last time I saw Matteo.
