I walked next to James down a dark hallway. Suddenly he stopped and looked down at me then kneeled so we were face to face.
"who are you...I know your not just a number. What's your name?" he asked softly and I froze. No one ever asked for my name...did I remember the name mother gave me? or....was..I just a machine....I looked down my blond curls hide my eyes.
"I am 191...191 is a good machine.....10001000100000011111000.." I murmered soflty. I didn't know who I was anymore...
-third person POV-
James looked at 191 he felt sorry for the girl. To be ripped away from your family and then have to go through many surgeries to make her some..machine...that suffers? He wouldn't allow it someone...no everyone outside needed to know what these people where doing to these poor people. He picked the crying girl up cradling her in his arms. He would protect her no matter the cost.
He walked into a side room that held battery's, a gas mask, and papers on shelves. James picked up the gas mask and batteries and walked out.
"We need to find a higher key card" he murmured as he clicked open a door. Holding his level one key card in one hand while cradling 191 in his arms.
