What Would You Do If You Are Found By Vampires, Then Be Forced To Marry The Vampire Prince?~14~

Recap From Part 13:

He frowned. "Well, it was my first time meeting them yesterday too, but I felt that in some features, you look a little like them. Your hair looks like the queen's, and your eyes are like the King's."

"Exactly. Looking at them both, it's like I'm split into half and divided equally between them. It's a little creepy, although they seemed so friendly."

"Well, we'll see later. They're coming too. Come on, breakfast time," Gavin reached out for my hand and I met his with mine as we turned and left his room.

Part 14

Gavin and I arrived quite early, only Kalirona was there when we entered. Her eyes gleamed. And I just realized that she was also wearing a gown, but a different one from mine. Mine was a little loose, but hers was the type which showed a lot of cleavage and hugged her curves tightly. She looked so young...

"Good morning, my dears," she gave us an affectionate smile. "You two are quite early. I thought you'd be the ones coming in late today." Her eyebrows rose. I felt my cheeks heat up in embarrassment.

Smiling slightly, Gavin pulled us over to the other end of the rectangle dining table and we sat down. Not long after, Gavin's parents came in, followed by the King and Queen of sorcerers. It was the King and Queen who caught my eye. Once again, I could see a lot of our similarities present on them. Though the King had thick eyebrows, his hair was styled in a fashionable way, and he was wearing a pair of jeans instead of the black tux that Gavin's father wore. The Queen, however, wore her dark-brownish hair down and her loose gown...was the same color, and the same design as mine...

"Sorry we're late," the Queen said, swishing her gown as she sat down onto the chair which was pulled out by the King.

"Oh, no, no, you're not late. It's me being eager and excited to have this breakfast with you," Kalirona smiled up at them.

"Well, thank you!" the Queen gave a generous smile back.

Sitting here, I felt as if I was a very young girl meeting new people and I felt uncomfortable and uneasy. Gavin noticed that, and reached over to me with one hand to hold mine under the table.

Then, randomly, the Queen commented, "The prince and future princess here seems loving and close! Remember to invite us to your wedding! I certainly hope to be there to witness it!"

Gavin's father shifted in his seat and cleared his throat. "Ah, actually, I meant for Gavin to marry his cousin, Pearlyn, not this human woman. This girl just popped out of nowhere! And she's human!" He glared at me angrily, as if I spoilt his plans.

Gavin's hand tightened around mine. "Dad, I told you, Pearlyn's only like a normal family member to me. I don't love her the way I love Angeline. I love Angeline as my wife and no one else!"

Gavin's father stood up in fury and banged the table so roughly that the whole table shook. "My decision is final, son, say what you want, but things will still go as how I had planned it before this woman appeared!" He stormed out of the room.

Everyone was silent. I bet everyone here could hear the frenzied beating of my heart because of their supernatural hearing. At least the vampires anyway. I'm not so sure about the two sorcerers.

"I'm so sorry about that, my guests," Kalirona addressed the King and Queen of sorcerers. "I apologize for not teaching my son well. We'll continue our breakfast, naturally. We shouldn't allow the scene to ruin our appetite."

We started to dig in, but Gavin's mother was sitting still, I noticed. Finally she spoke. To the King and Queen sitting in front of her. "My dear guests, I have one important and urgent favor to ask of you."

The King looked up at her. "Let's hear what's it about," he encouraged her with a polite smile.

She hesitated for a short moment. "I know you might not allow this, but I still have to ask you. Would you mind if I ask you to bring Gavin and Angeline back with you and hold their wedding in your kingdom? His father would never allow them to get married. I'm sure of that. Please do me this favor, I beg of you!" Tears welled up in her eyes. "I know my son and Angeline are meant to be together, but my husband is bent on separating them for his own purposes. I ask this favor of you!"

"Daughter! How could you ask this of them?! This is plain rude!" Kalirona chided harshly.

Her tears were flowing freely by now. I tensed for their answer. It night be the key to me getting married as a couple with Gavin and live with him.

"You do know very well that this might cause a war," the King stated thoughtfully.

"I know, but really have no choice."

The King and Queen looked at each other. And turned back to face us, with the Queen looking directly at me.

"Why not?" She smiled warmly.
