(Picture of Mackenzie above)

So here I find myself sitting alone at Chick-fil-a eating a small chocolate milkshake. Honestly, the only reason I came here was for the milkshake. The crying babies and wild children weren't supposed to be interrupting my date with Mr. Milkshake. Yes I am on a date with a chocolate milkshake, got a problem with that?

A few kids rushed by squealing followed by an apologetic mom. I gave her a weak smile letting her know that is was okay but I don't think she even noticed. I was just about to leave when a boy who looked about my age with dark hair slid into the seat across from me.

"Am I interrupting something here?" He glanced down at my milkshake, his soft brown eyes sparkling.

"Actually you are," I stated. "Mr. Milkshake and I were on a nice date until you rudely interrupted."

"Is that so?" he asked raising his eyebrow. "Well it looked like you guys were about finished anyways." I looked down into my cup and realized that he was right. My milkshake was almost gone. Oh well, I guess the date lasted while it could.

"I guess you're right," I said taking my last slurp. "I'll show him out."

"Let me do the honors," the boy played along adding a tiny bow for emphasis. He took the cup and threw it out and returned back to the seat across from me.

He had dark brown hair and warm brown eyes. He looked half American half... something else. He didn't have an over the top huge muscles everywhere body (from what I could see), but he was definitely muscular. His teeth were perfectly straight but I'm guessing he used to have braces.

"So, what's your name?" he asked in curiosity. I thought about lying for a second but didn't think it was the right move. Plus, I'd never seen this guy at my school before. Who would know?

"My name is Mackenzie Colt, you?" I answered.

"Aspen Louis. And you attend..."

" Barkwood High School. You?"

"I go to Central High."

"Nice, I heard they have a pretty good football team."

"Yup, but I'm not on the team. I play basketball. Do you happen to be related to Jay Colt?" he seemed to ask out of nowhere.

"Yup, I'm his little sister. Is that why you came over here? Did you recognize me or something?" I returned a question.

"Nope," he answered firmly. "I just thought you might need someone to cheer you up. You look like you've had a tough day."

"Is it that obvious?" I whined.

"Not to the average person. But I'm no average guy," he replied winking.

"Ah, well I think I'd rather talk to Mr.Milkshake about my problems than Mr. Aspen Louis who I've just met. No offense." I told him. He chuckled.

"Just pretend I'm Mr. Milkshake." he offered. I rolled my eyes pretending not to be impressed but went with it anyways.

"Hello, Mr. Milkshake," I droned. "I've been really lonely lately." Aspen's grin only widened at that and I mentally slapped myself for saying such a stupid thing.

"Well Mackenzie, I know a guy named Aspen who'd love to hang out with you. Here's his number." Mr. Milkshake (Aspen) said passing me a napkin with his number on it. I gave him my number also.

We ended up talking for hours. Maybe this Aspen guys isn't so bad. And I didn't let him know, but I actually enjoyed talking to Mr. Milkshake.

He made me feel... special.

And that's something I got used to not feeling.
