Day 1 - Last Peaceful Day

8:00 AM

"Ed can you come with me to the church?" Stop bothering me, I just wanna say that to her face. "Huh, what? Oh no, I'm not very religious." Mom sighed and said "You're going to pay for not going to church I tell you.", my mom's a very religious person too bad I'm a very stubborn person. "Whatever, can you go I am sleeping peacefully", my mom didn't say a word and goes to leave the house, I think she's angry. I complained to myself "Ughh, I kept telling her the I'm not going to church everyday. I closed my eyes to avoid stressing myself out and get back to sleep.

I woke up and heard people screaming, I told myself to ignore the people outside.
They're really loud ugh, "back to sleep, do not let them wake you up Ed" I said to myself.

My dog Poochey, a pug, woke me by jumping on my face and licking me non-stop. He wants to remind me he is hungry, I woke up for the third time and stared at him, he tilted his head and cried.

I opened the television to watch something because I'm clearly bored.
"What the hell, all channels are blank." I yelled. My mom probably didn't pay our cable. My face looks irritated.

I head downstairs to eat something.

While I was eating, Poochey came to me and cried again, making me ashamed so I gave him half of my food, he undeniably wants more. "Poochey we don't have any food left", in a slow tone. Poochey ignored me and tried to sniff for food. "Greedy dog".

As I begin to search for food in the refrigerator, the radio that I was listening stopped and began to say something about evacuating and quarantine, I ignored the radio and examined the window. "That's weird, there's no kid playing outside".

I left the house to roam. I didn't let Poochey outside because his leash is missing and I brought some money to buy some food.

While I was walking I noticed that the other stores were empty, It's like a ghost town here, dark clouds began to arise, it was now raining thus making me run. I saw the mini stop ahead, I immediently ran to the entrance.

I proceeded to enter the mini store, it's half empty just like the rest, lights flickering like it's a horror movie. I took everything that will be helpful for me and my dog, I'm a bit guilty since I am taking things without knowing what happened to this city, "since everone is gone, I'll have to get this earphones for my enjoyment".

I pushed the door and ran because I know I'm stealing and probably arrested when this is over, I looked at my back to check if someone's there then something hitted me "It's a police officer" I gasped. My heart suddenly dropped but I still asked him if he was okay, he only gave me silence. He stood up silently with a cracking sound considering that I collided with him pretty strong. There is something weird about him, his posture is slouch and his skin is yellowish pale, I was terrified because he look sick. I politely asked, "Are you okay sir because you're legit scaring me." In response to my question, he slowly turned around with a dead expression.

His eye is reddish, green liquid oozing from his mouth. He grabbed me but I managed to break free seeing that he's limp, I dashed away from him because he is clearly a monster
