Chesmer
Chesmer are what people in the ancient times call Gods. They control the sun and moon. The light that radiates off it bounces into my eyes giving me the power to move or accelerate the temperature of both objects that hang in the ever expanding universe.
Everyone says my eyes as indescribable. A shade of blue they've never seen. A neon blue that you only see during sun sets. That's only during the winter though. During the summer, when the weather starts getting warm enough, my iris turns to a light green with a fiery center around the pupils.
I'm twisting a strand of hair between two of my fingers when Mrs. Burgs calls my name.
"Grace?"
"Huh?"
"What's the answer?"
"Ummmm, 64?"
"Yea, that might be the answer to something, but I was looking for the Treaty if 1789."
I roll my eyes turning my head to look back out the window. RIIIINGGGG
I'm the first out of the class room. God I hate A.P. history. My arms automatically cross across my chest.
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!"
A pair of hands go over my eyes. A smile spreads across my face.
"Hey Chandler," I twirl around while walking backwards to face my best friend.
"Thanks."
She skips to try to stayed catches up with me. Chandler pulls a small green box with a pink ribbon tied around it out of her pocket.
"Surprised?" She smirks.
"Yea, totally," she passes it to me.
"Open it. I want to see the look on your face. Your going to love it. I mean you only turn 17 once, right?" I can tell she was excited the way she would not shut up but every person needs a friend like that.
"Ok, ok, if you shut up," I couldn't help the smile that was showing up on my face.
"I just joking," I giggle.
"Good, because I will be happy enough to take that present back from you," she teases.
I rip off the bow and quickly flip the top away showing a beautiful crescent moon. I gasp at the sight. I throw my arms around Chandler almost sending her to the ground which would have followed by me. I carefully take it out if the box that shows the long silver chain. I hand it to Chandler as I grab all the hair I can as she wrapped it around my neck while doing the clasp.
A sudden heat flash hits me forcing my face to encase in a layer of sweat. My eyes glance out the closest window. My expression goes blank as I take deep breath. The grass that were shriveling under the hot sun. The excitement must have gotten to me. Chandler places a hand on my shoulder giving me a reassuring smile.
