"Why? How could they?!" A child wept, as she mourn over her dear friend.

She clutched on to the purple sweater vest so dearly, burying her face on the fabric, as she stained the vest with her tears.

Her sobs echoed within the walls of Waterfall, making the Echo flowers mimic her. Her cries overlaped each one, it's as if the flowers joined her time of mourning.

"Why?" She mumbled to herself. The child wondered, trying to think of a reason. Thinking hard, she tried to find a reasoning to their actions.

"Why?!!" she shouted, feeling frustrated. She couldn't find the answer.

The Echo flowers, once again, parroted her. They all screamed 'Why?!!'. The child felt unerved, all of the flowers near her screamed in unison. She felt a sudden pressure boil in her chest. The screams clouded her senses, she began to feel enrage.

She tried to block out their cries, cupping her ears. "Stop it!!" she screams, fresh tears started to form once more. Droplets of tears traveled down her beaten cheeks, it gave no hesitance as they spill.

"Stop it!!" the Echo flowers repeated.

"Stop! Just-- STOP!!" the child cried out.

As if mocking her, the Echo flowers did the same thing; they all screamed randomly "Stop! Just-- STOP!!"

This only fueled her anger more. Grabing on to clumps of her hair, she grip them with all of her might. She screams in agony, overpowering the voices of the flowers. Having her patience finally break, she unsheaths the survival knife, that she hid in her boot, and sliced off the stem of an Echo flower. Venting out the burning anger on one of the flowers. The flower fell to the damp ground, it's neon light was fading-- until it eventually died.

Copying the scream she had done, all of the Echo flower did the same. They all screamed, screamed in agony, as if crying for their fallen comrade.

Unsatisfied, she proceeds to kill the other flowers. Slicing them through their stems, cutting off the life it has as it screams. The child continues her rampage, until she finally got tired.

She fell to her knees, wheezing. Griping her chest with her palms, she found it difficult to breathe. She fell to the floor with a thud, trying to catch her racing breath.

"We just wanted to go home..." she said through breaths.

"...And we just wanted to be free." A deep voice stated.

The child immidiately knew who it was. His deep voice, and jesting tune, was all too familiar to her.

"What do you want, you monster?! Are you here to kill me too?" the child spat, still trying to get her bearings.

"I know I am, that's what we're called-- right? Monsters..." He humored, he gave a small chuckle afterwards. Then, he continues: "If we're monsters, what do you call yourself then?"

The child sat up and seethed. Facing him, she gave a scowl in his direction. "Shut up! We're nothing alike!!" the child replied back. Gripping on the handle of her knife, she itched to slice him in half.

He chuckled once more, he found humor to the child's claim. "Absorbing another human soul, and claiming it as thier own. Both humans and monsters know it is a taboo. To claim another soul, is to claim their identities. And you have the audacity to pass me your judgement, when you yourself stole the existance of your fellow kin...." he stated.
