Raised in a church, yeah Jesus was my first love
Reading the Bible at age six, what a start to my early anointing
My parents didn't make me serve God, you see, I did that on my own
As little girl I wanted to be like David, I wanted to be after God's own heart
I believed that I was born to be like Samson, God has set me aside to use me for his own purpose
I realized that I was different, cause you see, I only thought about God
I made sure I studied to show myself approved
Quoting scriptures by memory, what an amazing gift God gave me
Then one day I found myself in a storm and I questioned God asking "Why am I here"
I lost my faith and my belief and thought I could that I control everything
Then another storm and this was worse
No one was there and I cried myself to sleep
Sleepiness nights and swollen eyes, I heard the voice of God,
"Return to me." I heard him say, "I am the God your youth, the one who you once believed in."
In reply I said to him, "I have nothing left, everything I wanted, I do not have.
"Send me on a mission and tell me what to do"
I saw God smile and it was bright. To see Good smile at me, took away my pain
His next words made me smile, "I got something for you"
