"She never knew why, but it felt like a part of her was missing. The pain enveloped her again as she felt the familiar tugging of being alone, although she was completely surrounded by people who called themselves her friends. Jordan knew she had to get out. Her breathe quickened as she pushed through the crowded hallways of Mount Rush Highschool, knowing she only had a short amount of time before it all would end." As I closed my notebook I looked up at the class, awaiting their reaction to my new book, Enemy Lines. At first the class was silent, but then my boyfriend, and also the love of my life, stood up clapping and yelling encore. The class erupted in applause and I blushed, smiling at Justin. He blew me a kiss and I caught it in my right hand, touching my heart with my fist.
After school I met my best friend at her locker.
"Hello babe!" Makenzie said, linking her arm in mine. "So, we should totally go to Anna's party tonight." I stopped in my tracks and stared at Kenzie in shock.
"No. Are you kidding? We are NOT going to that party. You know Anna. Her parties are CRAZY."
"Oh come on Rayne, don't be such a loser." Kenzie joked, lightly punching me in the arm.
"Makenzie I'm serious. I am not going." I said seriously.
"Please! Please, please, please!" Makenzie begged. I sighed but rolled my eyes.
"Yay!" Makenzie screeched, hugging me.
I opened my closet and dug through my clothes trying to find something suitable for the party. Justin finally gave in to coming after I pleaded with him, saying Makenzie would drag me there anyways. I finally found a black strapless sun dress. I tried it on in front of my full length mirror and smiled.
"This is the one." I said, admiring myself in the dress. It came up just above my knees and showed off my tan skin. I went to the bathroom and ran a brush through my dark brown hair, watching my natural curls fall in place. I added a little lip gloss on my lips and turned around, screaming as I ran into Justin.
"Oh my gosh! You scared me!" I said, punching Justin in his chest.
"I thought you werent afraid of anything." Justin teased, running his hands through my hair. He lightly kissed me on my lips and suddenly grabbed me, picking me up bridal style.
"Miss Rayne, are you ready to attend the wildest part of the century?"
"No, but I am ready to spend the night with my amazing boyfriend." I laughed, kissing him on his nose.
