I intertwined my hand in Justin's as we walked up to the house. Makenzie bounced beside us, babbling on and on about her dress, boys, the party, and other "Life threatening" things she could think of. I smiled, thinking back to when we arrived at Anna's house. Makenzie looked stunning in her green miny dress and black converses.(No homo, I'm taken, remember?:P) But then you got to her face. Which was decked out in sparkles, make-up, and face powder.
"What's so funny?" Justin whispered in my ear, bringing me back to reality. I jerked my head towards Makenzie and Justin nodded, laughing quietly.
"What are y'all giggling about? Oh never mind! Did you hear about Paige being pregnant?" Makenzie paused before smiling and letting us know she called ribs on being the god mother.
I rolled my eyes at her while Justin opened the front door for me. I went in and laughed as Makenzie slid in front of him claiming "Ladies first!"
"Sarahbeth!" Kenzie Squeled, running to her and wrapping her arms around my little sister.
"What are you doing here?" I said, fury shooting through my veins.
"Partying." SarahBeth said nonchalantly, shrugging her shoulders.
"Come on, we are going home RIGHT now. You are WAY to young to be here!" I demanded, grabbing her arm.
"No! I'm 15! You might be 17 but your not my boss! Why do you always have to embarrass me? Just go away and leave me alone!" SarahBeth yelled, jerking out of my grasp and disapearing into the crowd. Justin wrapped his arms around my waist and kissed the top of my head when I tried to go after her.
"She's going to grow up sometime. You can't protect her from everything babe."
"I know." I sighed. "I just don't want her to make bad choices."
"It's a part, Hun. She will be fine, I promise."
"Ok." I said, snuggling into his chest. "Let's dance."
Justin lead me out to the crowds of kids dancing and I wrapped my arms around his neck, leaning my head on his shoulder. Standing here like this, right now in his arms, I felt like the luckiest girl alive. I closed my eyes and listened to the thudding of our hearts in harmony.
