Everything Happen for A Reason

Part 1

One day, something strange and unusual happen to me. It change my life forever. It's started in a normal day that no one ever expected especially me. But, it makes me who I am right now.

I was a student, a university student that trying to finish their degree just like anybody else. That particular day, I suddenly have a mood to stay on the library studying. Time flew fast that I realize it almost it almost nine o' clock. I need to go back to my dorm right now. My one and only roommate already calling me aking where I am. Yeah I know I can get to focus when I'm alone at the library sometimes, but it was just so fun to be alone once a time. I was so busy trying to that I don't realize I forgot my pencil box and calculator. I just keep going to my car, unfortunately while I was looking for my key, I realize that I forgot it. And I need to go back to the library. "oh my God, I'm so stupid, just wasting my time right now and its getting late right now". While I was talking to myself I suddenly crash with something hard and it hurt my nose. "awww, seriously". "aww, I'm sorry", another voice said. Wait? Did the wall just talk. I looked up and it's not a wall, it was a person and a man. My reflect bring my foot to the back and keep some distant from him. "oh sorry, I didn't realize you were there", I said to him. "oh it's okay, no worries", he said back. I smile and proceed to get my things back.

After I got back my things and on my way to my car or the car that I rented he still standing at the same stop looking so worried. I was wondering at first but then I decided to just let it slide. "excuse me miss, can I ask you something?", he suddenly asked. I just nod. "can you help me? Its urgent", he asked again. "you want me to help you what?", I ask him. "Could you be my date tonight? Like in fake date", he answered. I chocked in my own spit. "What the heck! Did you really mean that?", I asked with a shocked face. "actually my actual date or my girlfriend can't come because she just dumped me last two days, and I kind of promise to my friends that I will bring my girl to our graduation dinner party. So yeah, I think you got an idea" he explained calmly. How in the world did he keep maintaining his face and voice like that. I was actually considering helping him, but suddenly I remembered that its getting late and I still need to do my Isya' prayer and a tons of work I need to do. "yeah about that, I don't think I can help you with that. I'm not trying to give excuses here, but its getting late right now and I'm staying outside campus and I'm a girl. I know you understand what I'm trying to say", I replied to him. "but what if you stay in campus tonight. I got sister here and she's a freshmen and stay at the hostel. You can just borrow her clothes and stuff. Don't worry I will tell her right away if you help me", he answered almost so fast. I was actually considering it at that very moment. Oh my god what am I thinking right now! Are u crazy? He's a man and I'm a girl and it's getting late and I don't bring any clothes. Oh yes! That can be my excuse. "I'm sorry but I don't have anything to change on for tomorrow and that was so unpleasant going to the class wearing the same outfit without it getting wash. I'm sorry.", yes I think it works. Please make it work, I don't want to get involve in some strangers problem. "Yeah for that I actually accidentally buy some new clothes for my sister and she a little bit chubby than you and for the inner wear you can just borrow it from my sister. So how about that?" he replied effortlessly. I was kind of shocked. How did this happen like it was not a coincidence. "But why me? I'm not that pretty enough and I don't have the proper attire for the event. And I haven't done my Isya' prayer", I keep giving excuses to avoid it. "Don't worry about that I can handle it with the help of my sister", he replied my excuses.

And here I am standing in front of the venue door. I still can't believe how the hell did I willingly agree to help him. Oh yeah, with the help of her sister persuasion aka my roommate. And because of her I didn't have any more excuses to tell him I can't. Oh she is so gonna pay for this. "What is your name again?", he asked bring me back to reality. Seriously dude! Your sister said it almost the whole time while talking to you while I getting ready for this disaster. "It's Lorande Vannese and just call me Lora. Before we go inside I want to talk to you a few rules and you must follow it since I'm the one who help you. First no skin contact even the slightest. Second, keep your distance from me by mean do not stand or sit to close to me. Third, do not leave me alone with your friend. Last but not least, please help me when your friends trying to start a conversation with me. Got it?", I talk in a stern manner. "just relax okay. I got this", he replied almost too calm. But I can sense his nervousness when we got inside the hall. Then we step inside together with a heavy sigh. After a few steps somebody calling his name already. Oh yeah I still didn't know his name. " Hey Kevin, dude! You got some nice girl here with you!", the man said. Ooooh! I can just punch him right in the face for talking like that. I really really really hate it. Notice the 3 times repetition. But instead I just smiling at him not saying a word to him. In fact he is the one who did the talking since he doesn't want get caught for lying. "Introduce Lora, my date for tonight. Lora this is Dave, my stupid friend that I tell you yesterday", I just smile to the statement. That shown how he really good to all his friends. "Dude! What the heck did you just say to her in our first meeting. It wasn't stupid but instead clever, handsome and charming best friends", he explaining proudly. I was holding my laugh because I didn't want to look rude. "No wonder Kevin can fall into your charms", Dave talk suddenly making me stunned for a second. " Ok don't waste anymore time, let's go to your seats and meet our other friends", and I can only sighs because it means that I need to move, walk in my heels! Oh my Allah! "Grab my elbow, if you don't want to fall down. It's okay, we not really touching because of my clothes", he explain assuring me. Well that was nice of him to care a little bit of me. Why the heck am I even wearing a heel. This is because of that little jerk Hanna aka his sister that was my very well known friends that had been my roommate for 2 semesters. She was the one who convince me to wear this heels because she said it wasn't appropriate to wear a sneakers with a dress to a dinner party. And here I was racked with pain wearing this curse heels. I was almost crying out of happiness when we arrived at our table an even more tear jerking moment is when Kevin offer to bring my food and drinks from the food table. In return I give him a thankful smile and he replied it also with a smile with his teeth showing. He look so cute like that now that I see him in the lights clearly. Wait, how in the world that come into my mind? I must not be in my right mind now because of this pain. When he get back with our food, my stomach like it was timed on cue make a hungry sound. He was chuckling while putting down my food in front of me. His laugh was so rich or is it only me who feels like that. I didn't realize I was spacing out a moment until he said "lets eat". Oh my God this food is heavenly."Lora? Lora? Is that you?", who the heck who dare to interrupt me while I'm eating. I looked to the direction, "Troy?", "Lora, what the heck are you doing here tonight?", how is he here tonight. Oh my God I forgot that he was on the same batch with Kevin. Who is Troy? He was my senior, my tutor and also my ex-boyfriend. This night is going to be very interesting.
