I am a person just like you, my life at home or anywhere doesn't define who I am. I am me, more like Maya but I'm still a person non the less. My dad is in fact in jail ( I won't boar you with the details) but, he has been in jail for 5 years. Some people would say that has been a long time but it seemed to have happened just 5 seconds ago. When your parent goes away for a significant amount of time the last thing you want to be told by some person that has no idea of what it feels like to tell you, " everything will be ok and he/she will be home before you know it.". But in all reality you know that not everything will be "ok" and they might be longer than "before you know it". I don't mean to sound so sad about everything I just like to be honest.
