My name is Thomas Waltberg. I was nine years old when my mom and dad read me a fairy tale. It was something about a magician saving the world.
[Alxier Magic Academy]
"Hey, wake up!" I was sleeping with my head resting on my desk, a boyish voice. I open my red eyes and lift up my head while scratching my messy white hair. The voice just so happened to belong to my childhood friend, Marco, a boy with blue eyes and red hair. He's about the same hieght as me.
"What?" I said. "First period is over, bro." Marco said. "So what?" I said. "This magic academy knows how good I am at. I got 97% compatibility on every attribute of magic. They can't afford to expell someone like me." I bragged.
I felt an omnious killing intent coming from beside me. Before I knew it my ear was being pulled. "Ow ow ow!" I shouted.
"Sure, you have the compatiblity, but your control over magic is awful! Don't go bragging about talent when you don't know how to use it!" a high pitched sweet voice yelled.
That my boys and girls is the voice of Sarah Alm, a girl with green eyes and hair. Although she looks cute, she has big-easy-to-trigger-temper. She's also my childhood friend, but she acts more like a mom. Oh, and she's a head shorter than me.
"Sorry!" I said. She let's go of ear and archs her arm on her waist. Wearing the school uniform. It's like the boy's uniform; black blazer, red tie, except a black miniskirt instead of black pants.
"Really, when we were kids you wanted to be a magician so bad. But the way your studies are going, I'm starting to think your not so serious." Sarah sighed.
"Relax, I've memorized everything so far." I said with a smirk on my face. "Really? What exactly did we learned so far?" She said. Sarah crossed her arms and looked at me, squinting her brows.
"Uh...um...m-mana.." I said.
"Idiot." Marco said. "C'mon we have been in this school for almost three months." I said while laying me head back on the desk.
"Ow!" I shouted. Sarah began pulling my ear again.
"We are late for second period, dimwit!" She shouted while gritting her teeth. How can a girl be this violent?
We entered the hallway. I put my right foot onto the highway floor. The next moment I hear a demonic voice the words it said sent a chill throughout my whole body.
"Pride, what a childish sin you just committed."
My movement, along with whole body, stopped. A cold sweat fell from my right cheek. For some reason, I watched it fall, and for a split second...I swear it-it was an ominious black.
"Thomas, is something wrong?" Marco said with a worried look on his face. "I-I'm alright. Nothing to worry about." I said. "But...your face...it's pale." Sarah said. Sarah walked towards me. She put the palm of her left hand on my right cheek.
The expression on her face turned serious, but although her brows were squinting together, they sunk down almost reaching her lashes. Making her look like a sad puppy. Was it really that bad?!
She looked back at Marco and said, "Please take Thomas to the infirmary." Marco gave her his "why me" face, but as soon as he saw how worried she was he nodded. He tried to put my arm around his shoulder, but I pulled my arm back. "I'm fine, I can walk by myself." I took a step. And heard the voice again, except it wasn't a demonic voice, but a little girl's voice.
"Ahahah." She giggled. "Pride." She whispered. My head suddenly began to head. I felt like throwing up. Buy then..."Gluttony." The demonic voice...it made my eyes widen...I looked down to see no floor. No floor, it was snow...and blood. I caused me to lose balance.
I was about to fall, but mid-way Marco came up behind me and place my right arm around his right shoulder. "Liar, you are NOT FINE." Marco said. You didn't have to emphasize the "NOT FINE" part, you know.
