Fact #2 is that Nightmare on elm street (the movie) is based on a true event. There was a little boy who died in his sleep. He complained to his parents about the nightmares he was having about a man who tried to kill him. They overlooked it and didn't realize how serious it was. The boy would stay up for days avoiding sleep. when his parents found him dead in his bed, they discovered 3 slashes on the boys stomach.
