Chapter 2: AJ and Goth's Promise

    My mom called my friend's parents to tell them that I was going to the monster school instead of the human school.
    I overheard some of the conversation.
    "Why?" PJ asked.
    "Because she has magic, and they would have found out some reason to get her expelled. The Head of the school is racist." Mom says, holding a chocolate bar, sitting on her bed.
    "Oh... well... if she sticks by AJ, Goth, and Virey, she should be fine in the monster school." PJ says.
    "Yeah. Could you talk to AJ, and tell Horror and Reaper to talk to Goth? I'll have Frisk talk to Virey." My mom says.
    "Sure! I have to go, AJ needs help on some homework, and Fresh is sleeping. Bye Chara!" PJ says.
    "Bye PJ." My mom hangs up.
    My mom looks at the door, "Were you listening, you little sneaker?" she asks, laughing.
    I laugh too, "Maybeeee."
    "You were! Come here." I go inside and sit on the bed.
    "FRIIISSKKKKKK!!!!" My mom shouts, and I laugh.
    "WHAAAAATTTTTT!!!!" Aunt Frisk runs in.
    My mom laughs, "Echo is no longer going to the human school. She's going to the monster school next week, I already called ahead of time. But she might get teased and stuff because she's half human... Could you ask Virey to stay by her?"
    "She'd stick by her anyway, but I'll ask." Aunt Frisk says, walking out of the room.

THIRD PERSON POV

    "Hey AJ?" PJ says, sitting next to her son at the table.
    "Yeah mom?" He asks, looking up from his homework.
    "Your friend Echo is going to the monster school now... Chara and Hidden don't like the head of the school, so..." PJ says, "Either way, she's not going to the human school anymore, and she's going to the monster school, but she might get bullied for being half human, and" PJ starts running out of breath.
    "You want me to protect her?" AJ asks. He was one of the most popular guys in the school. He was nice, though. Not very many people messed with him.
    PJ nods, "Talk to her please?"
    AJ nods as well, "Okay, but can you help me with this now?"

IN SOMEWHERE ELSE, BOI!

    Goth is reading a book.
    "Reaper? PJ just called and said that Chara wants Goth to keep bullies away from Echo, because she's going to the monster school instead of the human school." Horror says, and Goth hears him.
    "Echo? Why would she need to be protected from bullies? Who would bully her? Is it because she's half monster half human?" Goth asks, walking out of her room.
    "I don't know, but would you be able to do that, sweetie?" Reaper asks, shrugging.
    Goth nods, "Of course! She's like my little sister!"
    "Okay! Well, she starts on Monday. I guess Chara is going to homeschool her for a few days..." Horror says.

Echo's POV

    Mom gets a text from PJ and Horror.
    "Goth and AJ said that they would protect you." She says, turning off her phone.
    "SO DOES VIREY!!!" Aunt Frisk shouts, probably from the kitchen.
    "OKAY FRISKKKKKK!!!" mom shouts back.
    "Okay! So... when do I go to the fun school?" I ask, putting my hands in my lap.
    "Monday." Mom says.
    I nod and start to go downstairs to get a snack.
    "Could you get me some chocolate while you're down there?" Mom asks.
    I laugh, "Sure! I'm eating my snack in my room, though!" I run downstairs and grab a bag of chips, a water bottle, and two chocolate bars.
    I run back upstairs and throw a chocolate bar at my mom, then I sprint to my room.
    My room is on the main floor, and my parents' room is upstairs along with a bathroom and a guest bedroom and guest bathroom.
    "VIREY I HAVE SNACKS!!" I close the door behind me and sit down, leaning against it.
    She laughs, "What did you get?"
    "Well I forgot about you momentarily and only thought about food, but I got a bag of chips, water, and a chocolate bar."
    She gasps dramatically, "Aunt Chara let you have chocolate!?"
    "She's my maaammmmmm of courssssseeeee!!!!" I say in a weird voice.
    I split the chocolate bar in half and give one of the halves to her. We have cups for ourselves in our room, so we split the water bottle into the cups and share the bag of chips.
    "I guess I could tell you about the school. It's not as nice as the human school, since humans are racist... anyway, but everyone's pretty nice. Although there are some monsters who hate humans and might bully you, if you stay by AJ, Goth, and I, you should be fine."
    I nod, and she continues.
    "So, since we're getting older, we're probably allowed to have boyfriends... and there are a few cute monsters in the school, although most of them have popular girlfriends."
    I slightly tilt my head to the side, since I had never thought about dating until she brought it up.
    "You're not the only hybrid that goes to the school. There's another hybrid who's older than us by a year or so, and his name is Impact. His parents are Papyrus and Mettaton, so he's part ghost, skeleton, and robot. I've talked to him once or twice, and he's kinda shy."
    That name sounds familiar... I think to myself, trying to remember where I've heard it before.
    "His name is Impact?"
    "Probably Mettaton's idea."
    "Kinda makes sense..."
    We finish our cups of water and the bag of chips, so we move on to eating the chocolate.
    "By far, monster-made chocolate tastes better than human-made chocolate." Virey says.
    I nod in agreement.
