Who’s the idiot who’s playing dubstep in the morning?
I groaned as I rolled over in my bed to reach my night stand. An advil. I need an advil. Where’s the ad-
“AGHHH”
There’s someone in my bed. Panic. I opened my eyes but as the light caused my head to pound, I closed them. I slowly opened them again as tiny slits. There’s a boy in my bed laying face down, shirtless. Oh my god. I’m shirtless too.
Where are my clothes. Where am I. What did I do last night. That’s not Adam! Did I cheat on Adam? There was a party last night.. I told Adam I was going to get a drink, he said.. What did he say? I need to call him. Where are my clothes?
With my mind going a mile a minute, I carfully inched off the bed and started searching for my clothes. When I found them, I slowly got dressed and attempted to locate my phone. I could recognize where I was now, and strangely enough it was Jake’s house. Jake is my brother’s best friend. He’s such a sweet per- oh my god. I think I slept with Jake.
“Sam…? What are you doing here? Oh my god. Close the blinds would you”
I snapped my head up at his voice. Did he know what we did?
“Jake..” I went over to him and sat beside the bed, we had to fix this. “Jake!” My shout woke him up and he sat up, wincing and mussing his hair.
“Don’t shout Sam. Fuck. My head, have you got an advi- Where the hell are my clothes. Wait, why are you in my room, why am I na-“
“We slept together.”
There was no other way to put it, but his face probably mirrored what mine looked like when I put the pieces together. His face paled and his eyes got wide. He stared at me for two minutes before he burst out laughing.
“Did Ben set you up this? You got me, man. You got me” he said laughing. I ignored what he just said and continued with the problem.
“Jake. I don’t know what to do. What am I going to tell Adam? What are you going to tell Chrissy? I don’t know what happened last night! I can’t remember! You have to help me, oh my god, where’s my phone. What are we doing!??”
My voice was becoming high pitched and frantic and I was hyperventilating. I’m going to faint and from the looks of it, Jake is too.
“Samantha.. They can’t kn-“ The annoying sound of dubstep started again and I remembered that my head was pounding.
“Hello?” I spun around to see Jake pulling on a pair of pants as he answered his phone. He’s the idiot with dubstep as a ring tone?
“Oh, hey babe! Yeah I’m home”..”No, i’m not feeling well babe, it might be contagious – hey, my mom needs me, I have to go”...” love you too!” I stared at Jake with disbelief.
“Jake. What. Are. You. Doing. You have to tell her!”
“Are you insane? I love her! I’m not going to do this to her!”
“I’m going to tell Adam, Jake. You can’t keep this a secret, I can’t either, if you don’t tell her.. I-I will!. “ I was choking on my words, trying to stop the tears from falling. “Jake, I’m going to go. Help me find my phone.”
“You aren’t telling Christina.” I looked up at Jake. How can someone sound so calm in this situation? I turned around to continue looking for my phone, I located it under his shirt thrown on teh floor and went to reach for it, before replying.
“That’s right. You are.” I tried to sound forceful as I turned to face him again. He was way too close and his facial expression was starting to scare me.
