There is a war within me
With sounds of cries and screams
Of a being that is not me
GASPS
As my heart exsanguinates
And my lungs collapse
Escapes a girl that is not me
As my eyes start to bleed
And my heart wails in pain
All I hear is a familiar ring in my ear
SMACK
Again another hit to my arm
And though I continue to try
The monster will not let me stop
A black abyss in my soul
Plaguing the hopes I still have
And my dreams are forgotten within me
THUD THUD
my heart races with fear
My mind slowly destroys me
My soul is a lost cause.
