Dear Perrie,
You didn't come to our wedding today.
I stood at the alter for hours, silently waiting, waiting for you to come running down the isle in your beautiful white dress that I still haven't seen because you won't let me take a look at it. No seeing the bride before the wedding, right?
I had to decorate everything myself, because the people who were meant to do it didn't show up, so I'm sorry if it didn't turn out so well. But, I did stick to the colour scheme that you wanted, white and purple. There were lilacs and white tablecloths and bright purple lights, and it was sort of pretty, but it would've been so much prettier if you had arrived. But you didn't, just like nobody else did. Not even the priest.
Eventually, after many hours (I lost count after four), Louis showed up in jeans and a loose t-shirt along with puffy red eyes to try to convince me to come home. It took a further half an hour of coaxing, persuading, begging and pleading, but eventually, I climbed into the car with him and he drove me back to my house. Our house. I'm so sorry I did that, and I'm so ashamed. I should have waited longer, Perrie. I should have waited longer for you. You would have wanted that, I'm sure.
What was so important that you couldn't even come to our wedding? Even the slightest trace of you would have made it perfect, because I miss you so much, and I need you to be with me, in any way that you can. I need you here now while my head bends over this tear-stained letter, I need you to brush the hair away from my face like you always do, and I need you to be here to reassure me that everything's gonna be okay.
I just need things to be okay, even though they're not.
Love from,
Zayn.
