Chapter 21 - A Happy Ending

Soon, I decided I should get up. I heard some shouting coming from downstairs. I quickly ran down the stairs to see what was going on.

"Leave her alone, Jane!" Masky shouted.

"She doesn't need any more troubles!" Slenderman said.

"What's going on?" I asked.

"Oh nothing. Just thought I'd stop by for a visit and give you what you deserve." She smiled.

"Guys, I think you should leave the room. I'd like to talk to Jane by myself." I smiled at them.

They all left.

"Yell my name if you need anything. I'm not afraid to take her down." Jeff said, walking towards his room. I chuckled.

"Is it my mother's spirit stone?" I asked, smiling.

"You're not getting it without a fight. I'd like to test how you defend yourself without the help of your 'family.'" She said

I quickly raised my fist and punched her, sending her into shock and knocking her to the ground. I punched her a few more times before grabbing a knife off of the table.

That's the best part of living in a house filled with creepypastas. There's always a knife around when you need it.

I stabbed her a few times. I knew it wouldn't kill her because creepypastas are immortail, but I knew it would hurt her. 

She tried to fight back but I continued to beat her up. I was so angry. Wasn't sacrificing Daniel enough? Now I have to fight her for the spirit stone?

Suddenly, she disappeared from under me, sending me falling to the ground. The knife fell to the ground and I picked it up, setting it on the table. 

I was pissed. Where the fuck was the spirit stone?! She still didn't give it to me?!

I ran upstairs to go see Jeff in his room. The the door to Jeff's room, there was a note. The note was hung up using a knife.

I pulled the knife out and read the note.

"Dear Laura,
I am genuinely sorry for all the trouble I may have caused you. You are truly a worthy opponent. I thought you were helpless, but I must say, you impressed me today. You're gonna go places, kid. Here. Attached to this note are a few gifts from me to help you along. The knife is yours to keep. You're gonna need a weapon, right? Also, taped to the back of this note is a necklace. It's not just any necklace, it's one I made for you. It's made with Daniel's spirit stone. You did an amazingly brave thing by sacrificing your love for your family. I'm proud of you. You're a real hero, Laura. Stay strong. If you ever want to visit, please do. I won't hurt you anymore. I'd consider us allies, wouldn't you.

I flipped the note over and took the necklace off. It was beautiful. I wasn't going to go through a whole reincarnation process. I think I was happy just having a little piece of Daniel right here with me. I know he's watching over me from heaven.

I put the necklace on, admiring it's beauty.

I put the knife into my pocket. I may need that soon.

"Thank you Jane." I whispered, although she couldn't hear me.

I noticed there was some more writing on the other side of the note, right beside where the necklace was.

"P.S. There's a surprise waiting for you outside! xx" 

I ran down the stairs and opened up the large mansion doors.

"Laura?!" 

"Mom?! Dylan?!" I shouted, throwing my arms around them both.

"Laura, I'm so sorry. I promise my drinking problem is fixed. I'm sorry for your rough life. I promise to help you make it better." Mom whispered.

"I love you Mommy." I said.

"I love you too."

I threw my arms around Dylan.

"How did you get here?" I asked.

"Jane thought it would be a good idea for me to come too." He said.

Tears of joy were falling from my eyes. My life really is improving. They say there's a rainbow at the end of every storm, well... I think I just found a rainbow, and a pot of gold too.
