-------------------
I panicked. I didn't know what to do. My body froze. My mind froze. I couldn't bare to look at the horrid sight in front of me but my eyes wouldn't budge. All of me. Frozen. Stuck.I screamed, so fucking loud, but nothing after that. Just silence. I couldn't make anymore noise. And I couldn't hear anything as well.
My ears were ringing and blocking out anything else. My eyes were fixed on the sight before me. My body was stuck.
Time was no longer something my mind registered. It was just me, and them, no time passed. Along with me, time was stuck too.
I started to analyze what was before me, who was.
I couldn't help but look at every little detail. My eyes wouldn't look away, and my body wouldn't move, just like theirs.
I suddenly felt someone behind me, putting their arms around my waist from behind.
"Bec...why'd you scream? Is everything okay? I- *yawn* I'm still a little tired." My ears started to hear again. Barely, but enough to hear Ash, although it was foggy and hard to make out.
"He hasn't opened his eyes yet. This should be fun. What will he do when he sees them? He'll probably blame you..." The creature said in my head. Of all times, now. Perfect timing.
My body still wouldn't move. It was stuck. I couldn't force it to move.
I felt Ash hold me tighter and inhale sharply. He screamed the scream that was now familiar.
"He's seeenn ittt~~ What will he think of you after this?" The creature said. I knew it was silly, how could Ash be mad? I don't think he could. But anxiety isn't reasonable, and it's not a choice to listen or not.
"T-their.." I could feel Ash quivering behind me
"T-t-that's...H-how..?"My body could move again. It was sudden, but it now let me and my eyes were diverted. Something changed, and it stopped.
I had a straight face, I couldn't show emotion. I just turned around and left the bathroom. Then sat on the couch, blankly looking at the black screen on the TV.
A smile rose to my face, and I laughed. I laughed so hard. And I smiled bigger than I ever had before. My sides started to hurt at how hard I was laughing. Then I stopped. I sat there. Looking at the black screen, for about 30 minutes.
Then I stood back up, walked to the medicine cabinet, grabbed a plane brownish black bottle and walked back to the bathroom.
Ash was on the floor, dried tears on his cheeks. He was just staring at the floor, silent.
I grabbed a hand towel, laid it on my forearm then opened the cap to the bottle. I doused the towel in the clear liquid.
I stepped over Ash and started to wipe down the sides of the bathtub. Little by little it came off. Soon, the towel was a bright crimson red, soaked in the thick liquid.
I took the towel and rang it out over them. Then I went back to wiping down the tub.
I repeated this for about an hour. Cleaning the tub, ringing it out, cleaning...so on and so forth.
