*The day of the audition*

Beep beep beep beep beep bee-

I slammed my hand on the alarm, and looked at the time.

What the heck! Why in the world would I wake up at six in the morning, on a Saturday?

Oh, I remember. Today was Harry's audition. I had to go and get ready. I jumped out of bed and ran to my closet. I picked a white t-shirt with some yellow skinny jeans, and my converse, then I grabbed my plane necklace. It's mine and Harry's best friend necklace. We got planes because all the other best friend stuff were too 'girly' as Harry said, so we saw a plane necklace and just bought two.

Once I grabbed all the clothes I ran into the bathroom. If Stephanie got there first I would never get to the auditions on time. I made it safe and sound to the bathroom, took a shower, then I got changed and did my make up. I walked down the steps, and smelled pancakes, my favorite!

"Good morning, sleeping beauty," my Dad said, jokingly.

"Morning, and I have a question. Are all of you going to the audition?" I asked, grabbing my pancakes.

"Of course! Well, except Stephanie, she doesn't want to," my Mum said.

"Cool," I answered back.

Stephanie never wanted to do anything anymore. She used to be so fun; we were so close. She would do my hair, play dolls with me, play hide and seek with Harry and me, and also tag. Then, I don't know what happened, she just turned so bitter. I missed her so much, maybe I could try and talk to her.

I looked at the time and almost died.

"Can one of you drive me to Harry's house? I'm going to go with him," I said in a rush.

I saw my phone on the table and grabbed it, right when my mum answered.

"Sure, I'll drive you, come on."

I hurried to the car and got in the passenger seat, waiting for my mum. She finally got in the car and turned it on. She then turned the radio on to some talk show thing. The car ride was a comfortable silence all the way there, which was only five minutes. It was ten minutes if you walked, but I didn't want to walk ten minutes at seven thirty in the morning.

"We're here," my mum said.

"Bye mum, see you later!" I called getting out of the car.

"Bye!" she said back.

I closed the door and walked up the driveway to their house. I rang the doorbell and waited.

What if he forgot about me? I wasn't ready for that, that's the whole reason I never told him how I felt about him, because I didn't want to ruin our friendship. But now it might. I know what he promised, though, and he wouldn't break his promise. The door opened breaking me from my thoughts.

"Hi Valentina, come in!" Gemma welcomed me into her house.

I walked in, and saw Harry's mum, Anne, in the kitchen

"Hi Anne, do you know where Harry is?" I asked.

"He's in his room," she said back to me.

I walked up the stairs and saw their cat, Dusty. He was white, with black patches, he was so adorable.

"Hi Dusty," I cooed while petting him.

I finished walking up the stairs and walked into Harry's room. I saw him sitting on his bed hugging his stuffed bear. He did that whenever he was nervous. I walked over to his bed and sat next to him. I gave him a side hug, then rested my head on his shoulder.

"Harry... It's going to be fine, don't worry," I assured, trying to calm him down.

"You don't know that Val!" he snapped while getting up. "What if-" he started till I cut him off.

"No 'what if's', and that's final. If they don't want you, well then it's their loss... Just do your best..." I said to him.

I walked up to him, and gave him a hug, which he returned. I released from the hug and looked at Harry, it looked like he wanted to say something, but right when he was about to, Anne yelled: "Kids, it's time to go!"

We looked at each other, then shook our heads. Anne always called us kids, no matter how many times we told her we weren't kids anymore. We walked down the stairs and into the car.

(At the X factor)

I was sitting in my seat waiting for Harry to come on stage. It took forever but he was finally up there. They asked a few questions, like 'what's your name?' and stuff like that. He started singing, and the crowd went wild. Now for the judges.

"I say no," one of the judges said.

"I say yes," the girl judge added.

I was on the edge of my seat. It was all up to Simon now.

"I say yes," he finally decided.

When I heard that, I screamed along with the other girls. He went off stage, and I got up and ran backstage. When I got there, I looked around for him, frantically. Finally I saw him, and ran into his arms while he spun me around. He put me down, and I gave him one of my sassy looks

"I told you so!" I said in a sing song voice.

"Whatever," he said, still smiling.

After he talked with his family for a little bit, it was time for him to leave. He said goodbye to everyone, then it was my turn. He gave me a hug, and that's when I couldn't keep my tears in any longer. I soon started crying into his shoulder. We pulled apart, and he looked at me, wiping away my tears with his thumb

"Hey, don't worry, we'll call everyday, and Skype, or face time, any chance we have, okay?" He asked me.

I just nodded then he started to walk away.

"I love you Hazza!" I yelled out.

He turned around and yelled back.

"I love you Val!"
