Girl: Mahal din naman kita kaya ganun.
I overheard that conversation a number of years back when I was in college. I didn't mean to eavesdrop, but they were talking a few centimeters away from the table where I was.
That was when I was a college student, still NBSB, syempre No Boyfriend Since Birth, as they say.
Hindi ako pangit, hindi ako loner, wala akong body odor, hindi ako mataray, hindi ako demonyita, hindi ako mataba, hindi ako kapayatan, hindi ako pandak, average ang height ko at hindi ako bobo.... pero.. NBSB ako..
I don't wonder why..
I mean, honestly, I thought we don't need to rush things over..
We don't need to look for boyfriends or any kind of intimate relationships.. Bata pa naman daw tayo, sabi ng mga magulang natin. My parents told me the same thing.
Hindi nila ako pinagbawalang magboyfriend, ako ang nagbawal sa sarili ko. I found my life quite simple without boyfriend. I am contented in having friends.. Kuntento na ako sa mga iba't ibang bersyon ng kwento nila tungkol sa kanilang mga karelasyon, at sa mga ex nila. I've had enough. I don't need to experience all of it para malaman ang mga ganoong bagay.
Sinasabi ko sa sarili ko, maraming lalaki. No need to rush, study first.
