>>CHARLIE'S POV<<

My eyes opened slowly into my dark room, the ringtone of my phone instantly pulling my out of the grogginess of the morning.

I searched the nightstand beside me with my hand, hoping my hand would land on my phone to shut it up. Where is it?

After what seemed like an eternity, my phone stopped ringing, causing me to let out an irritated sigh.

Slowly sitting up, I allowed my eyes to adjust to the dark, squinting to make the outline of my phone on the table.

Reaching out, I turned the screen of my phone on seeing I missed a call from Scott. I glanced at the time, another irritated sigh escaping me. 3:47 AM.

Seriously? My phone started to vibrate in my hand, Scott's name appearing once again on the screen.

I rolled my eyes before pushing accept.

"Good morning Scott, how are you this fine and early morning"

"Ahhh, my dear Charlie, sarcasm flows off of you naturally, no matter how sleepy you sound."

A scoff escaped my lips, causing a chuckle from my closest friend.

"I hope you aren't just calling me to tell me things we all knew."

"Of course not, I'm really looking to make sure we're still all set for tomorrow." I could practice feel his smirk through the phone.

"You called me at 4 in the morning to ask me if plans we set less than six hours ago are set?"

"It's only 3:49 sweetheart."

I cringed at his pet name for me, biting the inside of my cheek.

"None the less, yes, we're all set for tomorrow. Now can I go back to sleep?"

I heard him start to laugh, but suddenly he caught himself.

"Yeah, I guess you can go back to sleep. I'll see you tomor-, or rather later today."

He laughed to himself, only prompting me to hit 'end call' before saying good bye.

I set my phone back on the nightstand and threw myself back against my bed, letting out a breath I hadn't realized I was holding in.

--

Sunlight filled the inside of my room this time when my eyes opened. I pulled myself up from my bed, taking my blankets off me.

I picked my phone up as I made my way to my bathroom. Setting it on the counter, I turned the water on, splashing my face, hoping to remove the morning tiredness I felt.

I peeled my clothes off, turning the shower on and starting my morning routine.

Wrapping a towel around my body as I stepped back out of the shower, my phone started ringing once again. Instinctively, I hit accept and put the phone on speaker.

"Hi doll face." I felt my face contort at the name, slightly caught off guard.

"Scott." My statement came out short and cold but we both knew it wasn't meant that way.
