How Can You Be Sure?

She quietly snuck into her boyfriend's apartment knowing he was still sleeping and wouldn't answer her knocks.

"Nathan?" She cooed through the small apartment as she made her way to the bedroom doorway.

Opening up the door, a small smile crept onto her face after gazing upon a sleeping Nathan lying shirtless in his bed.

This was all new for Haley. She never experienced a boyfriend before, or the constant feeling of butterflies that came along with it. All she knew was whenever she was around him, she couldn't breath. If that is how love felt, she never wanted to breath again.

She snapped back to reality as Nathan shifted in the bed, starting to wake up.

Walking over to sit on the bed she leaned over and whispered into his ear "Hey you, wake up."

Feeling Haley's warm breath against his neck, Nathan slowly rolled awake. A smile instantly met his face as he realized Haley was there in his bed with him. Though he has been with a lot of girls, this was new to him too. He never committed like this before. In the past, there was no feelings involved but now, he couldn't stop all these feelings for Haley. He was in love with her. Nathan Scott in love with someone, that was something he never thought would happen.

"Hey baby, I didn't even hear you come in." he replied while softly rubbing his hand down the side of her arm.

She blushed, like she always did when he called her 'baby'. The redness spreading far down her neck. Nathan leaned in and gave her a luring kiss under her ear, not helping her cool down.

"Well I knew you would be sleeping." Her hand tracing outlines on this chest.

God she is so beautiful

Nathan sarcastically spoke with a smirk forming on his face, "I guess you know me too well, Hales."

His hand moved up to the back of her neck and pulled her down tenderly connecting their lips. Starting innocently, Nathan intensified the kiss moving his mouth in sync with hers. Haley always felt compelled to take things further physically with Nathan, especially knowing his past. But she would hit this point that ended things from moving anywhere but making out. She knew it was unfair for Nathan and couldn't help but worry that it would either end their relationship or cause him to cheat with another girl. It seems like sex was the one thing that was getting in between them.

Beep...beep...beep

"Ahhh," Nathan groaned into her mouth as the alarm clock interrupted them.

Haley giggled and parted their mouths as she leaned over to shut off the alarm. As she did this her shirt rode up displaying her new 23 tattoo right above her butt. Nathan's eyes immediately were drawn to this new discovery.

When did she get this?

Why did she do this?

He didn't know what to think. Nathan couldn't help but feel a sense of pride seeing his jersey number on his girlfriend. Not to mention by her ass. He decided not to talk about it now considering he didn't even know what to say.

"Um..why don't you head to school. I still have to take a shower and don't want to make you late. I'll meet you there."

"Yeah, okay, I'll see you later then."

He kissed her forehead before she got up and left the apartment. Nathan laid in his bed for awhile longer trying to gather all of his thoughts.

Later that day...

Sitting on a bench in the middle of the town, Haley could sense that something was bothering him.

"Nathan is there something you want to talk about? You've been avoiding me all day and haven't kissed me since this morning." She looked down almost ashamed.
