The war

Time and time again
The night will come and never end
Fires light up the sky
Where hummingbirds will never fly
People always walk
But never try to talk
Tears stream down every face
Wondering who will win the race
Shoes are torn on children's feet
Wondering if they will ever eat
Family members in the grave
The rest wondering if they will be saved
Soldiers out in the battlefield
Using guns as their only sheild
Fighting fire with fire
They are trained to never 'tire
With every body dropped
The odds of winning go up
When the end of it is near
There are more sightings of newborn deer
