23-It's Not The Same As Before

"The sun is now shining on the scandalous! Get up!" Kayla stormed into my bedroom.No knocking. No asking for my permission, just walking in.

"Yeah like for real," Lance came in and said."If you could've break up with Jay before then you can pull this break up off."

I sighed loudly."But Idris and Jay dumped me at the same time." Tears once again filled my eyes.

"Actually it was Idris so broke up with you not Jay." Kayla said.

"I can't pull this break up off!"

"Aww, Skylar, baby don't cry." Ashley crawl in my bed with me." Lance is right. You can pull this off."

"It's so hard!!" I cried.

"No, it's not."

"Yes it is." Kayla said sitting on my bed." It was my fault. I should've not let her go out with Jay and she wouldn't be like this. I hate feeling like this. You should've been with Jay on Monday afternoon to Friday night, then Idris Saturday morning and all day Sunday but you went to far with Jay on Monday morning. Guuurrlll, you lucky Idris didn't bring his weapons with him."

"He's not about that life. If he was then he would've kept them on him at all times." Lance said.

"Although you're right about that."Kayla rubbed her chin."Skylar, are you sure he was thug?"

"Okay now seriously?" I said."Is this suppose to be make me feel better because guess what? It's not working!!"

"I'm sorry boo but I just wanted to know."

"This what you get for listen to Kayla." Lance frowned."You should've just listen to Ashley instead and tell truth because it was surely set you free."

"Would you shut up?" Ashley said."It's not time for the I-told-you-so moment. Save that for later."

"Well my bad for telling my opinion." He laid in my bed.

"Skylar, it's time to get up and face what you did."

"Y'all don't understand how I feel."

"I understand." Kayla said.

"I understand that you're in bed, missing classes yesterday and trying to do it today. So you slept with your one of your ex boyfriend and your current ex boyfriend found out ? Stuff happen. So own up to it and get on with life gurl." Ashley said.

"By the way, Idris said to come get your stuff." Kayla said.

"I don't want to!" I screamed into my pillow.

"You have to!" Ashley got up then everybody else.

"It's not that easy, you know."

"I know it ain't but you gotta handle your business and you're going to handle it today, aigh. Now get up!" She pulled the covers off of me.

"Ashley."

"Get.Up, before I drag you out of the bed and I know you don't want that happen."

I sat up and frowned.

"Get.Up.Now."

I shook my head. I was planning on staying in bed and crying myself to sleep until tomorrow but Ashley was right, it was time to for me to get up and get on with life."Fine.I will but only if y'all promise to come with me when I get my stuff."

Kayla and Ashley rolled their eyes and walked out my room and Lance followed.I eased on the edge of my bed.
It's not the same as before.

Lance came back into my room.
"What do you want?" I asked with an attitude.

"We need to pray." He close the door behind him.

I wish I could've kick him out but I can't. I really need a laugh from him.

"Bow you're eyes and close all head." He said
What?

"Listen to me gurl." He said bowing my head."Lawd, we thank thee for this day. We think thee that Skylar is finally single. Lawd I know you must be happy that she's single because I am. Now Lawd bless this child. And let the church say ," He looked up at me and I looked at him." YEEEEAAAHHHHHHHHH!" He sang and stomped around in circle like he catching the Holy Ghost."Amen Lawd. Amen. Thank You Jesus. GLORRRRYYYY."

I hate him. I really do.

"Skylar, come on, we gotta go get your self. Hurry up." Ashley came back into my room.

I wondered if everyday would be like this.
