More than twenty years ago, I had my first paid publication of a story. That story was called "Last Week's Rhododendron." It was sort of a satire, sort of a farce, a sort of commentary on the fickleness of fashion. It was also sort of overwritten and silly. It was more than twenty years ago, after all.

This fictionette touches on the same topic, but it's not fickleness that's to blame this time around. It's just that things have a tendency fall apart, no matter how tightly you tie them together.
